Holy smokes, I just got my vendor set up and put some stuff on it.. not nearly as much as I CAN make.

My maintenance rate is 120 already!! I put a load of credits on and when I checked after I was through putting the items on it.. it was good for 13 mins!

haha

Are you using the gigantic hunk-o-junk terminal vendor? Those ARE expensive. I know burning skill points on novice merchant doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but if the money's a problem getting an npc vendor will help somewhat.

The NPC maintenance costs have been realigned to be the same as the terminals.

I ditched all my merchant boxes and dumped my vendor. Besides being on strike, it's just not cost effective to keep it open until they get the rates down to a reasonable level. That's the ultimate failure ofthis money sink: not only does it fail to remove cash from the system due to people opting out, in the process it throws a big nasty blood clot into the distribution system.

When did this happen? Last I heard they were still thinking about it.

Really?

I checked last night as I always do and as of 10pm CST Sunday night, it was the normal 1 credit a day charge.

NPC costs are still Null at this time. I think they were going to originaly make them the same as droids but due to the recent merchant outcry have been investgating other options like salestax instead.

What's strange is that my Rate says 0, but it's still taking money. Slowly, but it's taking money.

The vendor bug (1 credit per day) was due to be fixed, but after overwhelming response (sound familiar? *coughs) from merchants, they're now working on some version of a sales tax instead of the cost-per-item-per-minute idea. Thank goodness.

I dumped 10k into each of my vendors when the maintenance post first came up. As of last night they are still paid until about Christmas 2004.

So if I go to novice merchant I get a humanoid type NPC vendor and it's cheaper?
