Thread: question to tailors from a ranger, regarding the post patch organics market
Hello all, like the title says yep I'm working through ranger (3 boxes from master now hehe) and have had made quite the business supplying tailors and smiths alike with the hides from all my kills, doctors to a lesser extent also.
Least I was till this last patch, now it seems like it's taking me an entire day sometimes to fill just 1k orders in some instances, and my own personal budget is taking a major hit. Cause lets face it, if you sell hide at 3 or 4 cr a unit like i do with friends and repeat customers, they want 1-2k of hide, it takes me nearly a whole night now to get that, and I spend one whole night making 3000-4000 credits as opoosed to 3 rebel missions out of anchorhead earning the same, which am I going to do?
Now I haven't stopped of course, but I'm caught in a dilemma I can't stand, I don't want to price gouge, I don't want to raise my prices period because it's going to trickle down through everything, but at the rate things are going....
Anyway minor rant ramble aside the question to the smiths out there which I'm seeking feedback on, since the patch has come out, how has it impacted the organics markets on your servers? In terms of finding people to harvest, price per unit, and any other side effects?

Slighty curious and minorly annoyed atm ranger.
Just want to let you know, that there are plently other lower end scouts that supply me for 1cpu hide units. I'd go get them myself, but they say they are going to throw away so I take them and give them something for their trouble.
That being said, you charging 3-6 cpu is not wrong in anyway. Miners sell their goods for that amount so why shouldn't you be able too? Plus you have to do more work to get it.
If you were my supplier I would want you to explain the situation to me and give me the choice. Say, "I can keep offering you in the quantities you were getting before, but I have to up my price by 1-2cpu because of the longer time investment. Or, I can keep bringing you what I get, but there will be fewer units available, and I'll need to lower the minimum quantities down to 500 stacks.
Most tailors will choose the second option. I would. Now, if I were you, I would direct your higher quality organics to the medical profession. They will pay more than tailors. Just look at some of the boards: 7-12cpu for herbivore meat.
Most tailors can't afford to pay that, and since quanitity, not quality is the only need, lower end scouts are just as good a supplier as rangers.
Well I found an easier solution..
