I noticed the guild to Master Tailor but I didn't see the best way to get to Novice Tailor. I heard grips aredecent and the Artisan board talking about Engineering to get tomills. Whatdid everyone else use toget from Dom Arts to Novice.

I believe i did the non-generic crafting tools (clothing/armor or droid, etc), and also travel packs. The bonus to those is that you can sell them on the bazaar and get some ready cash. (you will need 5k for novice tailor) It's been too long, so i don't remember anything else. Probably the artisan board is the best place to look.

To be honest, the artisan tree is such a piece of cake, really anything in it will get you there quickly if you use practice mode and have a nice pile of materials.

When I was going up the artisan tree I took my time, sold stuff, and was just learning the game. I made a lot of travel packs and various food items, which were kind of my stapels for making money.

When I created an alternate character a couple months later, and needed him to get merchant skills, I just bought some metal and had him grind cdefs. Took me an hour or two tops with no macros.

I ended up making grips all the way to Novice Tailor, it was slow and painful but only cost 10 resources each. I will have to give my wrista break than start tailoring.

For me it was Wrapped Skirts, Soft Undershirts and Travel Packs depending on which resources I had available... good luck...

Fastest way to grind up artisan is to grind survey tools up to Engineering III then grind Wind generators all the way.
