see title. I like making clothes for people but i dont have a good way of conceptualizing what things will look good and what wont before i make it. The farthest I've gotten is that having 2 bright colors and 1 base color (black, grey, brown, white) is a good way to go. Just wondering if people had more tips for color and clothing combos or if there was a guide somewhere on this?

The only guide you can really have is experience. Color and style choice is a very subjective thing, so just makea whooole lot of floor samples and see what you like with what, and which colors you think look good.

Most of the universe's problems can be solved by the application of a brick to the side of the right head.
The problem is if you don't have a big enough brick or can't find the right head. The devil is in the details.

This link is a good place to learn about colours and how to match them. But for knowing which clothes go with which outfits... that is going to be trial and error. It's nice to know little things about each item, like how belts look with jackets, and which skirt goes well with the Trim-lined Shirt's belt. The vests and shirt combinations that work best, and knowing the cuff style on each pair of pants. Make one of everything and put them on. Have different races and sexes try things on too, so you get an idea what they look like on each, and which can't wear them.
