Thread: Running a Fashion Show, How do you do it?
I just did another fashion show on Friday night. This time I used a theme and had clothing from the SWG movies, I had 7 models and 7 outfits. I made it a guessing game for the audience to see where they have seen the clothing before.
Lining up the models is the hardest part. Also use your macros when announcing the outfits as it goes much easier and have a rehearsal before the show.
Hi i used to be a tailor but my holo told me to redo it. to get to the point get a house thats good(i used to use a medium or large naboo house, generic would work too.) just put them on display, and somehow tell people the colors that you can make.

Drfred Shapiro of Valcynwell, i can answer from a different perspective hehe. my latest char is master chef/master dancer and putting all my leftover points into tailor, i'm gonna go 4044. so, i'll never be a master tailor and have a fashion show of my own, but i am notorious for buying clothes. and i was in a fashion show last friday night on kettemoor and we had a BLAST. the tailor (who is a great friend but i'm new to snooping in the tailor board and i don't know if she posts here, so i'm not using her name in case she doesn't want to post here) made new outfits for each model, and we got to keep them yay! at first my husband didn't even want to come watch me in the show. but, that night, we talked him into using two of his chars to model in it hehe.
what we did was, group behind theed cantina, and the tailor was out in front of the cantina, towards the starport. she gave each of us an introduction, and we walked (i had to learn how to walk and not run for the event) out around the corner of the building and to her.
i'm a dj on an internet station, and the fashion show was during my show, so i played silly songs about clothes and fashion and colors and some people listening came to see the show that might not have heard about it otherwise. when she gave my introduction, it was a VERY good thing i was not having to talk on air, i was laughing so very hard. we had an absolute blast.
so, i can't really give advice on how to do it. but i vote 'yes definitely do it' if you're thinking about it.
