Thread: What are your top tailoring issues?

Hey guys, I was notcing that it's been awhile since we had a thread listing everyone's top issues with our profession. We have some great wishlist threads, and a bug report thread, and a lot of other threads on very specific things, but I'm just curious to see what everyone's top-priority general tailoring issues are. I'll start.

1) Clothing Decay. Sorry, this death decay idea just doesn't cut it with me. It doesn't treat combat classes and noncombatants equally, and frankly I just don't think it'll help us much. Many of the reasons I don't like it are covered in plenty of other threads. I still want usage based decay that happens only when the clothes are worn and the person is online.

2) More Schematics. I think it's safe to say that this is onething we'll always want more of. If they need to take some of our current schems to make room, go for it! I'm sure we wouldn't miss a pair of the nearly identical gloves. And few of us would mourn the Crested Vest. We have a great wishlist full of ideas of things that would give us more options.

3) Ugly Color Palettes. I won't goso far asto say that we should have all colors available on every single item. For example, in many cases the metal palette is great. But the leather palette is too restrictive and needs to be expanded. I don't really care if they don't give us the full color range on it, but you can't tell me that a society that has developed hyperdrive space flight isn't capable of blue cloaks. And don't even get me started on some of those wierd one-item-only palettes. We could sell plenty of two-strap bandoliers if they didn't all come out some shade of pink. The severely limited palettes are stupid and annoying.

4) Bug Fixes. The bug fixes on TC sound great, but I want to see necklaces! I want belts and bandoliers to fit. And I'd love to see all wookiee clothing actually put in the wookiee section of my vendor!

5) Tailor Content. Give us tailor specific quests so we can have something cool to do after we make master, stock our vendors, and feel the urge for adventure. Content for all types of non-combat folks is severelylimited at the moment, please give us some crafter content before you build yet another dungeon.Reward us with some of those new schematics we'd like so much. Add missions that let us craft for our faction so we can help out in the GCW too.

These are probably my main wishes for our profession right now. It's late, so I'm sure I've overlooked things, or I bet your priorities are in a different order than mine. So what do you guys think?

1) Clothing Decay: yeah the upcoming decay option isn't the right solution.

2) More Schematics: definately need more clothes. capes, headwear that isn't **edit**, eyewear, and all the other sundry clothing ideas that have been discussed.

3) Lack of purpose to clothing: Currently we have two types of clothing that actually serve some purpose. Backpacks that hold stuff, and bio enhanced clothing that grants bonuses. Backpacks are good and all but we need more wearable containers, bandoleers and belts and pocketed clothing should have inventory space, small or large doesn't matter, just some extra room in your inventory. And the value for bio clothing doens't even come from us, it's all the work of the bio engineers . I want worth while clothing with a purpose that we create on our own.

4) Bug fixes: It's long past time that the various minor bugs effecting our profession are fixed. Color bugs, name bugs, catagory bugs, visual bugs. There's an endless list of these minor bugs and they don't seem to be getting fixed very fast.

Show the wookies some lovin! Need more outfits of some sort, and some outfits other than the ugly Shoulderpad would be nice for combat type BE updates. We either use a bandolier (no backpack) or a shoulderpad (gah!), or we are stuck with injury/wound treatment bonuses or entertainer healing bonuses as far as BE tissues go.

Not to mention the fact that I think Master Tailors should be able to make some type of wookie wearable that can protect against mind shots.... I get incapped or killed due to mind damage more than any other thing, and not even having the option for a helmet kind of sucks.

I'm actually pretty content with the state of tailoring per se right now. The stuff I have the biggest problems with are really Merchant issues, not Tailor.

But my list:
1. Bug fixes
2. Annoying color palette issues
3. "Wishlist" stuff like new schematics, etc.

I'm still kinda neutral on the "big clothing decay debate." Yeah, I can see in the long term we need decay of some sort, but to be honest, its absence doesn't really bother me much at the moment. I've never had much trouble getting repeat business, and I'd probably prefer seeing some sort of across-the-board inventory slot increase to increased decay, all things considered.

1 - Color issues
2 - Fitting issues (jackets that buff shoulders and/or waistline, belts, necklaces, clipping etc)
3 - Some way to virtually display our wares
4 - Not being able to trade with faction-aligned players even though I'm "neutral" (not really a Tailor issue, I know, but it's a pain!)
5 - Less look alike clothing and/or colors

7 Day Vendor Issue - 150+ items are not easily re-vended every week.

He knew he was as good as gone, but gone was somewhere he really didn't mind going to.
Since his shuttle had crashed, many years had passed, and the pictures of his loved ones that he drew on the walls of the cave
had finally faded.
He put out his smoke, proceeded towards the lake, repeating to himself,
everything beautiful is far away.

This is supposedly going to be fixed in the next patch. According to the patch notes, sales will now last 30 days.

I'm extremely content with my tailoring business and my list is identical to yours...

Personally, theabsence of clothing decay doesn't hurt me one bit... people buy clothes from me because they like to and want to and because it's a lot of fun - not because they are forced todue toclothing decay... I believe clothing decay for the express purpose of forcing people to buy clothes will have the opposite results... I'm sorry to see it on the horizon...

My topthree

1/ Clothing decay

2/ Graphic glitches, including the necklaces and belts

3/ Limited leather palettes

My other pet peeves have fixes coming to them soon or are merchant related, such as not being able to bundle a group of clothing as an outfit on a vendor/bazaar. I love putting little outfits together but they get bought up separately all the time despite giving them outfit names. I have my outfit vendor guy ad bark to please but every item of an outfit but of course with the reset every day he doesn't bark it as often as he should.
