Thread: Clothing repair tool
I can't seem to find any two sites that agree on what goes into a clothing repair tool! Can anyone tell me as I really want to know and have a few more hours at work to wait ![]()

Since out clothes dont decay, the tools have no use..save for decorating your Tailoring Parlor
It's the most useless piece of equipment currently
When you use the repair tool on NPC dropped clothing, you can either repair it or get this message:
"You failed to repair the clothing. It has been destroyed"
So, once clothing decay comes in, I expect this will apply to regular Tailor made clothes, we can't always repair the clothing we make.
I don't know why, but this makes me a little happy...in the sense that people will have to come back to get their clothes repaired and they have the option of having it repaired (with the risk of it being ruined) then getting a new one to replace. Oh...and now we can add something else to our pricelist... "Mending"
Hmmm... but then again it could do a 180 and be a bad thing... I can see it now
"can you fix this now?? i really need it now?? are you done yet?? is it my turn?? you ruined it! i want a new one for free!!!"
*sigh*
This is what I expect to happen

Don't bother...any generic, crud metla and chemical will do.

Actually patch expected next week has item decay on all items for uninsured death (5%) and insured death (1%) so it will be back in ![]()

No I believe that there will be no corpse runs. Just item decay based on insurance, and the usual HAM reduction based on cloning.

Actually there is one use for them. Clothing drops from NPCs are often not full condition, and you can use them to repair those. Not that they would decay anyway, but it is still a way to "use" the tool.
Not bad...
I dont hunt too much...so I wouldnt know that.
I humbly stand corrected

Oh yippie! This is wonderful, so much better than the 20% decay rate first proposed. Finally maybe Tailors will have some more repeat business *crosses fingers*
Yep it's pretty nice. I will get some big old crates of high quality repair tools made up. I am still trying to gauge what to charge for repairing. Maybe 300 per item or something. And what to do on a fail on a Robe of Honor...
