Hullo!.......I'm trynna start a tailor character, I have Novice Tailor at the moment, and so far I have gathered that in order to get through this the fastest, I grind ribbed shirts till Field 2, and then Link-Steel gloves till Field 4, then Cartridge or Grenadier's belt depending on which resource you have more, Iron or Steel.

What im planning on doing is to be able to make the good XP (How much XPis it exactly anyway? and resource cost?) Cartridge or Grenadier's belt, and then go up Customization Line so I have more colors and what not to choose from. and then go up Formal till I can make my oooooh so favorite Doctor's Dress, and then whatever else till Master....

If I miss anything on Tailor specific tips then please by all means post 'em up!.....I am actually looking more for general tips on crafting and stuff, like harvesters and time management, how to start off, how to sell, blah blah. I started a new character as an entertainer and then got this bizarre idea to try anddo Tailor as well, so from my tips I am going up....right now im sampling resources with 2 personal minerals, 1 personal chemical, and 2 wind generators. I tried being a WS before, but I dropped it......for what reason I cannot summon my memory to tell me.

I've been playing since Day 2 of retail, since day 1 was borked, and ever since I made my own clothes from a generic crafter I have always harbored a desire to go up Tailor, but the game was fresh to me and I had the intent to play (And get disconnected) and explore what this game is about, now I feel I have explored enough, lol, and just made a new character on Bria to become a tailor.

getting through the fastest means alot of boredom and a ton of resources. also, we see alot of grind-masters who get there and get bored. just make clothes for customers and the exp will come. but if youre very determined to just grind, sadly, the best exp comes from cartridge belts, seconded by cloaks.

I don't really see what is wrong with grinding to be honest. I started a week afer launch and grinded my way to tailor a bit after, but I think I know my profession just as well as anyone who has done it without grinding.

For the tips the only ones I have is to try not to set up your shop too close from another, and to stay in the price range of the other tailors there.

This is not so much geared towards reaching Master but something I've found both convenient and in good business....

Do yoursef a favor and buy a droid with a clothing crafting station module put in. I've found it to be very efficient. That way, as you're running around town and someone stops you to ask you to make them a particular item of clothing, you don't have to run around looking for the closest crafting station (although they are nearly always located by the starport entrances FYI). You can craft all your clothes wherever you are..cantina, camp, someone's house, etc....

Anyway...it's worked really well for me and you'll never lose a sale due to schematics only made when near a crafting station! (AND you'll never have to buy one of those bulky crafting stations for your house..lol)
