Thread: Tailors, wouldn't it be nice if...
wouldn't it be nice if...
... every other holocron wasn't telling it's owner to master tailoring.
... thepeople on the path to enlightenment stopped giving away everything they make?
wouldn't it be nice if...
There was a way fora lowly Master Tailor like me to get a holocron. Can't afford one, not strong enough to kill for one, and I can't sew for one. So how in the force am I supposed to ever become a Jedi or even know if I'm on the right path?
Wouldn't it be nice if...
People were happy with being the best that they could be instead of being better than everyone else.
I know...I'm stretching it, but don't you think the following would be extremely cool?
The coding would be near impossible...ok, extremely time consuming...but the end result would mean more business for tailors then ever:
Clothing style and color that actually modifies certain in game parameters.
Just think...
...color and camo have an effect on the environment. Wear browns on Tatooine, greens on Endor, etc...and you get a bonus to your detection range from critters and NPCs. They can't detect you unless they're right on top of you! Sneak by those annoying critters when making your harvester runs!
...Entertainers get a bonus on their healing stats the better they're dressed. Whether they go the skimpymetallic bikini, or the elegant gown, they get XP faster, heal Battle Fatigue and mind wounds quicker, and get a bonus on any tips given to them.
...Medic types get a bonus for wearing lab coats / scrubs inside Med Centers. It takes less resources to craft meds while wearing a lab coat, andyou heal patients faster when in a doctor's dress.
...Artisans get less critical failures when dressed in crafter's clothing. Say, an armorsmith who wears protective gloves can make stronger armor...that kind of stuff.
...certain locations have a dress policy. Not dressed up to scratch? Can't get in. Also applies to weapons out in the open, pets or droids following you in, and the atmosphere busting AT-ST indoors. Pull them out or change clothes once you get inside, you're bounced outside.
...new players start with the equivalent of Imperial prisoner clothes. I didn't get a scout pistol, a helmet, or a small house when I started...why should new players get paramilitary camos?
...Imperial NPC's would take a closer look at Rebs running around wearing orange flight suits or camo spec-ops dusters, while Reb NPC's would think twice about talking to a player in an olive suit jacket and slacks.
...got a TEF? Change clothes if you get out of visual range of the enemy, and the TEF goes away as long as you change *every* item of clothing.
Hey...a tailor can dream, can't he?
