I'm not a Tailor. I'm a Marksman. But lately, I've been the dresser of my PA's Command Council.

What would Tailors need to create for a suit that resembles a Tuxedo or something close to one.

Try the blackpilots jacket along with a white formal shirt, and just about any of the pants in black.

My personal favorites, which are up in my shop right now for my wedding displays:

1) the suit shirt (it has a tie on men) and the pilot's jacket. If you're going to wear shoes and not boots, opt for the comfortable slacks instead of the dress slacks - dress slacks show a lot of ankle.

2) decorative vest in black with white tails. It's not traditional tuxedo, but it gets the "black tie/wedding" look across.

3) sometimes the suit jacket is a real winner. Sometimes not. It tends to pinch in at the waist, so depending on the physique of the man, it can look girly. Approach with caution.

4) if you want to chuck the tuxedo idea and go for prince charming, a dress uniform jacket in all white with a silver breastplate screams out "marry me, Caesar!"

My favorite formulas:

Reinforced Jacket (all black) for short coat look, Gunman's Duster (black) for long tails.

Suit Shirt (white with black tie)

Comfortable Slacks (black)

Dress Shoes

Optional Decorated Belt with silver highlights or Rank Sashin yourcolor of choice.

Those seem to get a good response from my formalwear customers. You can also make an all-white version for weddings or performers, and by changing the color of the suit shirt to black/purple and adding gloves, you get a nice Morpheus effect.

Someone suggested something in another thread which I tried out recently, and it seemed to work pretty well:

  • Plated Necklace (Black)

  • Dress Shoes (Black)

  • Plain Shirt (White)

  • Pilot's Jacket (Black with Charcoal trim)

  • Striped Pants (Black with Charcoal trim)

I'm sorry I don't remember who it was that suggested it, but if you see this, chime in!
