Master Tailor and former BE dablerhere and I'll mirror this in theBE forumForum...

The max skill mod on one article of clothing is +25 for that skill...

Is it also +25 for the body? Or could I make a hat with +14, and a shirt with +14 and actually yield results of +28 on my person? I know that the stats SHOW +28, but is it effectivly +28.

Obviously a +3 difference won't be huge, but being able to craft a potent +100 set of clothes would be nice. I just thought that a body was capped at +25 per skill for the entire body.

Thanks!

No, the body is no capped at +25 for the skill. It's only a +25 cap on that piece of clothing. But overall it will be cumulative.

Also, if you are a master doctor (100 injury/wound healing) and you wear +36 clothing, I heard that your stats still say 125, not 136. This is not true of non-masters, all 36 points will show in your skill mods.. but according to the aforementioned experiments, only the 25 count, not all 36.

Actually, back when Van was correspondent, they did some experiments using the medical enhancements. They found that no matter how many points you accumulated in one outfit, the user never gets more than +25 to any one stat. So, in theory you could have a +48ish outfit to Injury/Wound Treat but you are only going to get +25's worth of skill out of it. The rest is a waste of funds. If you do a search, I'm sure you can find all of the info on it.

Hope that helps!!

Prior to tissues getting fixed Splintt and I did a lot of testing, and when they got fixed we continued with that testing.

From actual experience, this is what I can tell you.

There can be no more than 6 enhancements on each item.

Each enhancement will max out at +25/item

Someone wearing enhanced clothing can only wear up to +25. Anything over will show up on the UI, but won't actually do anything for the wearer.

(Devs verified the above 3 statements)

Prototype tissues will stack in clothing

Identical cloth stats are not cumulative unless they are placed into separate slots.

Therefore, as a general rule of thumb, cloths stack according to slots, not according to the number of cloths used.

It would be very easy for you do a search. The verification from a Dev came directly from Vandessa, but it's been a while since I read it and don't remember which one.

For everyone that comes here asking questions... Please please please do a search, don't expect other people to not only answer your question but provide you with all the information. The information is in this forum, really it is, you just have to look. This mindset of... "Find this for me" or "Make this for me" is drying me insane.

There's a great feature on these board, advanced searches, you can look up everything and anything you need or want.
