At first I thought hologrinding was a horrible thing because the holocron tailors would ruin the market for the rest of us by slapping together fleshwraps and selling them on the bazaar for 1000 credits. I used to shudder at the thought of new tailors, considering that a few months ago taking up tailoring was the "get rich quick" scheme du jour, and a million new tailors had sprouted out of the woodwork and began viciously undercutting each other.

But lately, many of the tailors I know are quitting to pursue jedi and no new players are stepping up to become tailors. As far as I know, I'm the only tailor on my planet. And people from other planets come out here to my shop, even at a 2-shuttle cost. I don't even live in a town on the planetary map. We don't have a shuttleport. I unregistered my vendor from the global map for a few weeks, and that didn't really decrease sales.

I met a novice tailor today, and asked her where she was going to put her shop. I was *disappointed* that she was going to be on another planet. Please, open up a shop in the next town over! I insist! I'm soooo busy!!!

Maybe this is just my server or just my shop, or just my little corner of the galaxy, but I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this phenomenon. It feels like the day I just got master all over again.

It seems like Tailors come and go. Course I am still a tailor on my server. I also saw an influx of tailors for a while but now it seems to have settled down abit. I'll see a post every once in a while about a new tailor and then I hear nothing more about them.

My buisness is very steady and I still have trouble keeping up with demand but no where near what it was when I first became Master.

Since items stay on vendors now for 30 days, I would just take one day and make 300 or more items and just stock your vendor as much as possible then refer people to your vendor first.

I do almost solely vendor sales right now - maybe a custom order once a week. I do common items like boots and packs in the factory if possible. I keep about 500-800 normal items on vendor, and 100 BE items. I still can't keep up. And I live on *Talus*. That's apparenlty not remote or expensive enough!

And the men are buying out all my hotpants!! (Ok, I sort of like that, they invite me to the parties.)

Heh, I know what you mean. I've got tons of business too, and it seems like most of the other tailor vendors I come across are pretty pathetic (usually something like 20 semi-random items of clothing, that sort of thing.)

And I've been getting a lot of "My guild doesn't have a tailor, so I'm steering everybody to your shop." Or better still, "My guild *does* have a tailor, but I buy all my clothes from you."

All good things, but it can be a lot of work to keep up!

I'm really surprised there isn't a glut of holo-tailored stuff on the bazaar, but there really isn't. I guess the holo-tailors just sit in a closet grinding until they move on to the next grind. Just as well, I suppose, considering the alternative, but the bazaar listings have been really thin lately, compared to what they used to be.

I suppose a lot of it might be the huge surplus of money in the economy, so the holocron grinders don't even need to bother with selling stuff to make ends meet?

I am finding the same thing, the demands on my time for custom orders and my vendor sales are taking more and more time. Most of the tailors that were masters in the early days have either quit or surrendered,,and it seems that the new generation have different motivations than the ones that started out wanting to become a tailor.

So the maturation of the game is both good and bad for me,,but so it is with all games ,,,change is inevitable, At least our profession isnt plagued with bugs and exploits thatexist in other aspects of the game. So maybe we should count are blessings ( credits) and be thankful that no new problems have arisen lately.

I was more concerned with Player Cities than HoloGrinders. I figured, I'm not in a PA, I'm not moving to a PC, my business is gonna crash and burn. Thankfully, that just isn't the case. Business is great. I absolutely adore my customers and spending time with them while they shop and I too am having to craft faster than ever to keep up.I've seen so many tailors come and go now. I still get a bit of a cringe with I see three or more new tailors selling on the Bazaar and offering to beat any prices no matter what. In all honesty, I should really avoid the bazaar but that is where I first started advertising and I just can't pull myself away from it. Besides, that's where you find those newer kids that just made thier first bit of credits and want to start creating a look. It's way too fun to stand back and make something nice and just give it to them. Remembering my first experience with kindness in this game, I so enjoy passing that on to others.

Sorry I got a bit off there.. all in all, I guess it's true what the veteran Tailors have always said, no matter what we will always adapt to change. People who master the tailoring profession will come and go. Us Tailors are here to stay.
