Thread: THE DEV'S STEALTH NERFED MY PANTS
Fine I can suk it up and deal.
My spec-ops pants, the ones I bought 1 week after
release hit 0/100 last night. Contacted a master
tailor friend of mine and guess what.
No more spec-ops pants. She cant make em, has no schematic
and has never even seen them. You wanna take my stuff
away fine. You could at least have the deacency to
let me buy a new pair.
So tailor's, does anyone on LOWCA have an old pair of pants
left for me. I'll even take em at half condition. Just some
nice black spec-ops pants.
Naboo nights are chilly running around
in my underware
Uhhh, spec-ops pants? Sounds like a tailor somewhere renamed a pair of paramilitary cammos.
I've never seen or heard of spec-ops pants.
They look nothing like the camo's, really, honestly.
Was it perhaps a drop? There is clothing in the game that tailor's can't - and never have been able to make.
/examine the pants if you still have them.. in the data area, it will list the 'real' name/classification of the pants. Maybe that will help.
Yep, either someone re-named a pair of pants from their regular name, or they're an uncraftable loot drop. There are several loot clothes that we can't make, butI actually collect them and hadn't heard of anything called "spec-ops pants" yet.
As someone suggested, examining the item will tell you everything you need to know. If it was crafted, the creator's name will be listed when you examine, and the regular name of the schematic will be as well.
But I sure hope you didn't give the poor tailor youasked about thisa hard time, I've tailored since beta 3, and there's never been a schematic called "spec-ops pants." So the person you contacted was telling you the complete truth, did not have the schematic, and didn't deserve being yelled at. Of course I'm not trying to say that you said anything rude to them, but I've been on the recieving end of that kind of confusion multiple times and have had some less-than-polite responses.
See tailors, this is why I'm mostly against changing item names. Adding in a color or tag is one thing, but when you rename things strangely people like this poor guy get confused, come in my shop, and yell at me because I don't know what a "Super Secret Sith Robe" or whatever is. ![]()
I have people ask me all the time for camoflage shirts. They get mad when I tell them there isn't a "Camoflage shirt". Now if they're looking for a BE shirt....
i only rename a few pieces of clothing only to make them sell faster.... based off of what the look more like ie paramilitry camos become forest camos (if i make them look like forest colors) there are a few that i have renamed. as a sell stand point they sell faster that way.
