I just started out on the Kauri server about a week ago today and I am stumped as to what I need to make clothes! Can someone please tell me the best way to get started and just what materiels I need? I'm also very eager to become Master Tailor and be able to have a wide selection available. I'd appreciate it if anyone can give me some pointers.

I'm going to assume that you are not a tailor since you don't know how to make clothes, lol.

First you need to get artisan skill. Visit an artisan trainer in your city and pay the 100cr fee.

Next you need a clothing crafting tool. You can buy one of these in just about any bazar for a few hundred credits.

Next you need some basic materials. Some metal, some hide, some fiberplast, and some petrochemical (preferably polymer). These can either be harvested manually with a surveying tool, or bought from the bazar.

Then... have fun, go nuts, make clothes, and start up the artisan tree. Once you've gotten 4 boxes in the clothing/food branch (forget what they call it) you can graduate to novice tailor.

Domestic Arts. That is what the branch in Artisan is called. You have to get Domestic Arts IV as a prereq for Tailor.

Hi there and welcome to the world of Tailoring. *intro music*

You can visit my tailoring website

http://abzintia.vze.com (link may not work, so copy & paste please)

there is a tailoring guide that lists all the materials you will need, how much of each type to get to the next tier, tips of selling, advertising, and opening up your shop... and you can view some great outfit ideas from me and other tailors who have submitted their work.

Hope all this helps :-)
