Thread: Practice XP vs Create ProtoType XP there is a difference and not a good one.
I was just trying to find for myself what xp difference there was when I did practice vs creating the actual prototype.
I made link-steel gloves on practice mode: 173 points exp.
Link-steel gloves (create prototype): 175 points exp.
Military Travel Pack Practice Mode: 105 points
Military Travel Pack (Create Prototype): 100 Points.
Ribbed Shirt Practice: 147 Points
Ribbed Shirt (Create Prototype): 140 Points
The percentage and exp received each time for each testing of each various schematic was consistent. The exp percentage/points received across schematics is inconsistent.
Has anyone noticed this?
I was at my Clothing Crafting Station of a functionality rating of +33.82 in Aegis on Naritus Server. Currently I am working on the last tier before Master for 3 of the 4 trees.
Just an observation. Would like to see a consistancy if nothing else. Especially since we are not being aided or encouraged to be tailors. No experimentation or much fun to it as yet. I have high hopes however.

Hmm... practice mode should give you 5% more experience all across the board. Your numbers for the military pack and the ribbed shirt seem right, but I'm not sure about the link-steel gloves.
They added the practice mode early on in the game because people who were grinding were putting a lot of stress on the database from creating and deleting items. The 5% is there as an incentive to use that mode. ![]()

Well, even tho non-BE clothes have no functional value, so quality is largely non-existant, I see the concept of fashion lending alot of value to make up for it. People still like to look good.
As for the discrepancy in gloves, sat down for a few minsand tried to think of an explanation, but couldn't...
Color is nice but things like being able to shorten or lengthen a dress, add pleats, ruffles are items that could make for more customization. Just choosing the color is pretty boring when you look at the fashioning of clothes. Flared/not flared. Studded, Sequens, buttons, Lace... Those options. Scoop vs V-Neck. Those could be experimented with.
I thought perhaps since people were using Link-Steel Gloves to grind and many people do not take the time to experiement and count up points practice vs prototype that they figured no one would notice the slight discrepancy. ![]()
