Thread: Specialized Vendors (possible solution to database problems)

Each profession would have access to a specialized vendor if they take merchant skill.
Each vendor would have its own cap based on what kind it was.
You would only be allowed to sell certain items on that vendor based on its specialization.clothing on clothing, armor on armor etc. etc.
weapon and armor vendors capped at 75
Droid and pet vendors capped at 75
Building vendor capped at 100
Resource Vendors capped at 100
Misc vendors capped at 150
Clothing vendors capped at 500
you get the idea?
If your a tailor and you take merchant skill you would have access to clothing, misc and resource vendors,and possibly several other types.
there would be other types of vendors based on professions.

Thats a plausible solution. What about the bazaar cap increase? For some reason the bazaar cap increase to 6000 gives me a sense of doom... I don't wanna be forced back into the bazaar rat race to sell my clothes.

At first I thought it was a good idea, 6k price limit for resources.Then I realized what would happen is the same people that sell 1 unit of hide for 3k would sell it for 6k.
You see 100 units of resources selling for 3k, they would now sell for 6k.
It wouldnt help the situation one bit.
They need to limit resources sold to 500 units and up,
they also need to not allow CDEF's and ANY item that has 0 condition left.
Clean up the market, get rid of the junk that people are trying to ripoff customers with.

What a wonderful idea! We don't need merchants... lets screw them over....



Oh! And armorsmiths? its not like a full suit of armor takes 8 items on average, not to mention PSGs. 75 is a perfect number for them! 500 for tailors while everyone else gets shafted? It makes perfect sense! You get my vote!

When I said that would take away the point of having merchants, it was directed at PURE merchants. People that resell goods and items they collect and buy from crafters.
