I have had a look through the FAQ for customers and many of the catalogues, but can't find the information i need.

I was hoping someone could tell me which items can be worn on top of which others; namely if you're wearing a robe, can you wear anything underneath it?

Thanks.

Yes a robe allows for shirt and skirt/pants to be worn with it

You cannot wear a vest, jacket, dress, or bodysuit with a robe.

Thanks.

How about headgear? I'm sure the healer robe doesn't allow headgear as well, but what about the Grand Mayoral one, for example?

the Grand Healers robe is not a robe, it is a female only dress you cannot wear anything under it, and you cannot wear headgear with it

The Mayoral one allows headgear and is a basic robe, meaning it takes 'cover' slot

EDIT:
Besides -headwear -handwear -footwear which follows its own rules for species and layering

I basically call/sort items by slot

Uppers

shirts

Lowers

pants/skirts/shorts

Covers

vests/robes/jackets

Allovers-a

dresses- which cannot be worns with any uppers/lowers/covers

Allovers-b

bodysuits- which can be worn with vests but no other cover
