As I admit, repeatidly, I am a horrible typeist, don't care about grammar, and what's spell check if they get the point.

As Such, I find myself making forms to simplify my life of 'response' as well as macros.

Whena customer places an order {by email in or out of game, or via chat}

I fill out this email and sned it to myself, then once the order is complete and on vendor I fwd it out to customer.

When they come and pick up the order, I then delete the copy in my email.

Here is my form:

WP attached: Merchant's Market

Hello, customer

-customers name replaced there

Your order is ready to be picked up from
Ani'cul's ATTIRE vendor at attached WP.
{Agro Outpost, Dantooine}

If sending a friend or useing an alt to purchase from vendor, please notify me.
This is so that they are not banned from the store for purchasing special orders not their own.

$ Denotes that this item was free of charge
% Denotes that this item was not included in order to be picked up
!! See NOTE: at bottom of page for further info on this item

-these symbols go where the fowarding divs would go.

Your Order:
----------------------
item_color(s)_specials

item_color(s)_specials

-ex: Formfitting Undershirt_black/red_MD/DvS_4sock
----------------------

The price is set at ### credits
Please have # open inventory slot(s) to retrieve your order.

Any questions or concerns you may have about your order, before or after purchase are welcome.
Please do not hesitate to contact me.

BE Well

Sure it may seem like alot when you can just send an email, "come and get it",
but this is how I do it.

What about you?

I do nothing so complicated, i ask all custom orders to be sent by email

Ileave the email as it is and go by that when making.

When i finish the order i place it in a travel bag marked with the players name, put it on my custom order vendor then send an email just saying that their order is done.

I like the mail! Good job and idea.

I gennerally will ask that it be picked up personally, if there is an issue with a color, texture or iten that isn't working I can fix it on the spot. I don't like to let those things linger.

I do something very similar. An email I forward that I already have typed. I only do "left on vendor" for customers I know pretty well. You know the "I need this for this occassion.. you know what I like." type. For new customers, I prefer a fitting but I will have to put my color board back up. No way I'm doing all 5 billion colors. (slight overstatement).

When someone wants to special order something from me, I usually have them email me their order. Sometimes, if I feel like it, I email myelf their order. After that, I calculate the price and make sure I get the OK from them. Unless the customer specifies that he/she would like to pick up from vendor, I usually meet them somewhere for the trade. I don't usually make the clothes until about 20 minutes before the meeting. This is to avoid my deathblows and their clothes decaying. (Yes, I learned from experience...)

Sometimes I throw in something for free, like gloves. When I get the repeating customers, I like to throw something free for them as well, or surprise them with an order they have and make it free

Droids,I do so love droids for this. It is the only reason I have five of them. To carry orders to far destinations.

As for pickup, I am 400 from the Agro Outpost on Dantooine,
rarely doI have some wander folk come into my shop without knowing it is there already.
I Have a blurb the is pasted into each desciption for pick up bags:

ORDER FOR CUSTOMERNAME
Please have # open inventory slots to retreive this bag

Do not buy what is not meant for you.
Those doing so will be banned and added to the merchants warning list.
There will be no returns, refunds, or exchanges for items bought from this vendor.
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about your purchase, please feel free to contact me.

I have had only 3 people *knock on wood* this whole time by something not theirs.

1 was by accident, she clicked wrong order below hers,

1 was a known greifer and was shortly banned from game,

the last thought he was getting away with some thing cheaply when it was a bag of23 wall plaques (bone segs labled) for a freind who wanted to have them for her city.

I usually just sent them a short email that said the order was done, the name and location of the vendor in the shop, and attached a wp. If they had emailed me the special order, I usually just replied to that, so they'd remember what they were getting.

I've only had one person pick up someone else's order. It was funny because the person that ordered it was obviously not going to pick it up and the person that ended up buying it tried to return it! hahaha...yeah like I was going to accept that!
