I have been wanting to make some "quality boots" for some time, and it requires (as I recall) wooly hide from Tatooine. I recently made a trip out there to do some hunting, get some DNA, and get some materials for these very rare boots, and I came up completely empty! None for sale on the bazar, and all the creatures I ran into either had bristly (the rodents) or scaly (just about everything else) hide! Anyone have any suggestions for aquiring this hard-to-find resource?

Wooly hides on Tatooine? Banthas! Quite strong, but slow and easy to kill.

keep killing more stuff there's other things that drop that hide. what you might want to do is make clothes for people, then mention the hides you need. before long your clients will consistantly keep you in supply.

they do look nice too, i hate flat toe boots, and the GQ boots <tm> have a nice taper.

Bantha's eh? Cool, I've got some combat skills, but am no super-stud by any means. Maybe I'll just get a couple of friends, a few pets, and launch an all out attack on some Banthas, hehe, thanks for the tip.

make sure you bring someone along that is pretty far up in scout, otherwise you'll be killing banthas all day

someone with hunting 4 is ideal since they'll get you the most per harvest

I busted by butt getting wooly hide on tattoine. I made some of these boots. My god, they are ugly! They have the most washed-out black EVER. Not sure how they look in other colors, but I'll never make them again, because they are a waste of resources considering they look no better (they even look worse) than the standard boots.

Bantha's have Tat Wooly. However, they have a huge amount of HAM. Get a decent gun, and all you do is fire and run a large circle...they run as fast as you do, so they should never hit you.

I find them most often by Mos Taike, so take a shuttle to Mos Espa and have a nice walk Bring a few friends, too.

Banthas hit pretty hard but are quite slow and seemingly easily confused..They can be outrun pretty easily if you have some wayfaring skills or flat ground and the best pistol to use is the DX2 imho becuase they are vunerable to Acid.My ranger can pull 70 hides offeach Bantha Matriach and about 50 each off the other types of Banthas. The best place to find them imho is North of Mos Taike. Hope that helps.

The high quality boots sell ok in my store but the Uniform and Thermals sell better and I agree the black is really washed out and more like a mid grey color.

I had rogue banthas spawning outside my house a few days ago... I killed 2 then one introduced me to Mr. Dirt.

I got 19 hides each from them though and I don't have too terribly much scout.
