Thread: Factory Help!
I got a tailoring factory and I don't know how to make it work.
I want to make metal fasteners... but I have absolutely NO idea how to get the darn thing running..
Hellllp!
Ok here's the basic factory overview:
- Make a manufacturing schematic. This is done at any crafting station
- Get together the resources. They have to EXACTLY match the ones used in the schematic
- Deploy the factory. (Use the deed)
- Load the resources by "accessing the input hopper". Just drag the resources in. (Don't drag in more than enough for 100 items, i.e. 4 crates. The 100 was chosen due to the current manufacturing bug)
- Load the schematic by "accessing the schematic slot". Select the schematic you created.
- Feed the factory maintence and power
- Select start manufacturing items to get the factory going
- When it finishes (you'll get an e-mail) remove the schematic (Don't forget this!!!)
- reclaim the deed
- Deploy the factory
- Put the schematic back in
- Put enough resources for 100 more in
- Start the factory
- Repeat
Correction the Repeat means repeat starting at the "When it finishes".
Ok, first you need a schematic. Go to a crafting station where you can get the experiment/create prototype/create schematic options. When you make a schematic it will show up in your datapad.
Once you have your schematic, go to your factory, and it will show access schematics under the options menu. Put in your schematic.
Then select the access ingredient hopper option. Split off and put in the number of resources you will need to make your whole run of crates. If you forget which resources you used on your schematic, there is an option to list the ingredients required.
Start the factory, and go sell/grind/whatever until it's done. Sometimes it seems to take forever
. It will send you an e-mail when it's done. Go back and pick up your crates from the output hopper.
Keep in mind that factories are still buggy. You mayhave to re-deed after every run of crates. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Good Luck! ![]()
I have3 questions regarding factories ... and don't want to start a new thread. ![]()
1. When I put in a schematic for 100 synthetic cloth plus ingredients, maintenance and energy (like I did 3 hours ago), how long does it take, till it is ready? I wanted to check, how far it is, but I can't look into the hopper, I only have the stop production option.
2. If it is ready, does the factory still eat up maintenance and energy?
3. If it is not ready before the patch tomorrow, should I stop the production and redeed the factory before the servers come down?
Thanks in advance for your answers.

1) amount of time = complexity * number of items * 8 seconds
2) after it's done, it will still deduct maintainance, but not energy
3)it should be ok for you to leave your factories down, usually when the server reboots it will restart on its own
