This would work like vendors, whereas you drop the items you want displayed on the manaquin model, they become fused with the manaquin occupying the slot it's for. Thus reducing number of items on the server, in your house, and easy to move full display 'sets' without having to pick up 5-6 items, and drop them all again.

Maybe just one default manaquin, or have male and female. or have race specific as well.

Materials: 30 wood - for the stand
30 hides - for the skin
30 metal - for the frame
Skill Req: Domestic Arts IV

Please respond with a 'YES', elaberation on the idea, or just hush and 'bump.'

I use flesh toned infiltrator suits renamedas mannequins, and they work pretty well, but your right, an actual mannequin with a head would be sweet.

Not a bad idea.

Though, I have often thought it would be cool to be able to sell displays through your vendor. Like maybe having a 'display' tab in the vendor (like 'offers' and 'stockroom') where you could set a price for the whole outift that you have out on display in your store, without having to make an exact duplicate set to put on your vendor with no guarantee that a customer would buy the whole set or just one piece.

It's probably too complicated to implement, but it doesn't hurt to /dream.

Lets not forget the ability to set gender and species so Wookiee wear, Twi'lek Headresses, etc. could be shown, along with clothes on both male and female figures.

Anyone ever noticed how when you drop clothing to display or whatever, it defaults to the female version, hmmmm, those naughty devs. Or maybe its just me.

Mannequins have been proposed before, but I think it's a good idea... especially if they come with their own built-in lighting.

We absolutely need some way to package entire outfits.

Display cases would be ideal for jewelry and other items.

Finally, I'd love to have some sort of holographic imager that allows customers to try things on before they buy them, even if the shop owner is offline.

I always thought it would be nice for architects to make rotating displays. Maybe just even a very flat cylinder that could be placed on the ground on which placed clothing will spin round. A couple of these in a showroom would be pretty flashy, and also help with the poor house lighting.

I think this is a great idea, it is also easier for the customer to get an idea of what they will be buying. As a new tailor and player that has spent a lot in other tailors shop buying clothes I know it is hard to picture how that stuff will look when it is floating in the air.

For bonus wishlist points, make them posable. Wouldn't THAT be fun?

Poseable mannequins?! That would rock! Even if there are only maybe 5 poses to chose from, that would still be a great way to add interest to our shops.

I'd love to see mannequin styles for every player species (male and female versions of each) and have them only be able to wear clothing appropriate to their gender and species. Although personally I think it would be cool if they were still stylized instead of looking like "real" people (so they'd really look like mannequins instead of characters or NPCs). Maybe they could even let them have settings that would allow us to set some basic hairstyles, skin tones, etc. or allow image designers to style them.

i've had many customers come in, and after i point them to a suggested outfit on the wall, and say "they have boobs" o.O

and something to hang my clothing in would be nice currently all the clothing just floats in the air like ghosts. give the schematics to novice architects or something, i'll go buy a crate

Once the devs fix Hiring IV, you'll be able to place an uninitializeddummy vendor as a mannequin (assuming you have a spare vendor). That's what I'm planning to do, anyway.

Please please please. I had a nightmare last night trying to set up displays in my home.
