Thread: Master Tailors of Kettemoor
Master Tailors of Kettemoor Unite!
Who: Master Tailors on the Kettemoor Server.
Role Player's and Non Role Player's
It does not matter what faction you are.
It does not matter what planet your on.
It does not matter if you are in a Guild or not.
Why:
Tired of running missions?
Tired of having to maintain harvesters?
Tired of not being able to support yourself by your profession?
Maybe not right now, but lateron when clothes are plentiful and prices drop it might be nice to have something in place to keep prices up.
It might be fun! If we had a strong alliance we could RULE the Server! Master Tailors could be the most successful profeession in the galaxy. CLOTHES DRIVE THE ECONOMY! We could own City's, Star Ports, Star ships (not that thats a good thing).
We would not be hurting anyone, clothes are a luxury and people are looking for a way to spend their vast fortunes.
How:
Their are 20 items of clothing that only a Master Tailor can make (we could verify the individual is a master by having them make one of the items of are choosing). They are: Revealing Bikini, Metal Bikini, Low-Cut Top, Revealing Top, Bikini Leggings, Transport Flight Suit, Traders Fight Suit, Heavy Flight Suit, Fighter Flight Suit, Tactical Flight Suit, Tactical Skin Suit, Revealing Flesh Wrap, Exotic Leotard, Grand Healer's Robe, Grand Ball Gown, Robe of Honor, Twi'lek Noble Crest, Lekku Ys'rak, Grand Tei'lek Headpiece, Gemstone Crest, Immense Gemstone Necklace.
Say we made a MTK (Master Tailors of Kettemoor) store. We could build it on a busy city that all transports can get to easy (direct flight) like Coronet for starters. We agree that in are own personal stores, venders, bazaar sales we would not sell these 20 items, they would only be avalible at the MTK stores (all other items we sell just as we are now). It would not matter if a few tailors were not members because they would not be able to keep up with demand (just look at the clothing on the bazaar now, hardly any high quality items) we would just have to see how this would work. Not all tailors are on the message boards so we would need to actively recruit any master tailors we came across (or at least try). We would put a premium cost on these 20 items (to be determind by the members).
Now, we one of each item. Say there are 10 of us, we each make 2 items for starters (we would need to discus who would make what or if a few would make the items and be compensated). Later on, when we saw what was selling and what was not we would adjust the inventory. Maybe some items are hot so we have 10 in stock and others we don't carry at all (custom order only). After paying for the house and vender fees we split the rest between us.
Benefits:
Hopefully we could make some good money on the premium items.
We could buy crates and resources in bulk (may get a discount for MTK members) and let each other know weere to find them.
No Guild to join (not that that's a bad thing).
Comments or ideas welcome.
It would be nice just to see how many Master Tailors are out their.
It would take some work, but what do you all think?
I hate to take the wind out of your sails, but if you are realistic, can you really trust these people to split the profits? Someone is likely to take the money and run, or make shady deals on the side. In a perfect world, yours would be a great idea. But IRL, these people are playing a game, and as such, some tend to lose any sense of conscience, and would cheat their own mothers, if it would profit them. Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are many more good players than bad ones, but it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel.![]()
You seem to have the motivation and drive to try to organize something. Maybe a loose federation of tailors would stand a better chance. In any case, I wish you well in your endeavors. ![]()
