I know we have lots of posts on movie looks, (which I love!) but I'd also like to hear about some of the other original things other people have come up with, such asinteresting clothing combos and renaming products.

Forexample: I love the sportswrap, with the exception of that little flap. I pair it with crafter's pants with pockets that match the wrap and the flap disappears! It's my favorite outfit for sewing. I've also renamed sneakers in black and white to Adidas.

I have created many outfits in the last year, I know I'll forget some.

Trim lined shirt with pantaloons and boots (pirate outfit)

Infiltrator leggings, all black muscle shirt, boots, bracelets (Lara Croft TR 1)

Shorts and simple shirt all the same color, (looks like a cute jumpsuit on women)

Reinforced pants in baby blue and white, with sports bustier in matching colors and matching paneled boots (looks so cute on females)

Lined shorts, muscle shirt, sunguardand sandals (poor mans desert outfit, especially on men)

Wrinkled pants (love those pants) with a ubese armor shirt (or a low cut top), ubese belt, ubese gloves and casual shoes

Camos in white and fuschia with a fuschiablouse and white boots.

One of my favs: Belted skirt, with long formal jacket and leather gloves (looks very nice on women)

Another of my favs: Comfortable slacks with a flared cuff shirt!

One thing I do, is usually keep it simple. Sometimes you can overdo it with too many items. However, necklaces and bracelets can add alot to any outfit.

A mangy vest with some large pocket pants and boots or casual shoes

a mangy vest with a muscle shirt under it and striped pants, casual shoes or sneakers

an openvest with pocketed shorts and sandals

lined shorts with a vest and sandals (very earthy looking) for women lined shorts with a short sleeved shirt or a dress blouse and sandals.

My fav at the moment is the baker's cap, which can be colorized... and looks really kinda neat with a matching outfit.

Also, the long vests with nothing else look like a mini-dress, just don't bend over lol

I have an Imperial Line, which includes the usual jacket, pants, boots and gloves, but also made the camo pants and muscle shirt... then did a reinforced jumpsuit in grey and called it the "Tie Fighter Mechanic's Suit"

There is the Imperial Scout Jacket... the Imperial Cloak... anything in grey hehe People have a blast in their Imperial issued outfits.

Also, the crafter pants, with a revealing top to match the little flap goes perfectly together and looks very very cute on the ladies.

For something different I have put together some outfits that mix and match with armour pieces.

VELVET VIXEN - Marabiweave Pants, Light Bustier, Sandals, Elegant Gemstone

You cannot exhaust the colour combos on this but Gold Metal and Silver Metal makes a striking contrast.

IRON MAIDEN - Marabi Chest Piece, Fashionably Pleated Skirt, Long Uniform Gloves and sandals

ARMOURED ELEGANCE - Ubese Shirt, Modest Shirt (2 colours used) Elegant Gemstone, Sandals, Metal Band, Long Uniform Gloves

Lets see..some of my favorite outfits... heh

On my human gal, I love low cut tops and comfortable slacks with women's shoes. She also wears the belted vest, with matching pantaloons and sandals. When she was a dancer, one of my favorite outfits on her was a metal bikini in black and silver with a fashionably pleated skirt in black with silver trim. When I'm wearing my ugly mask scent suit (formfitting undershirt and camo pants heh) I wear a dress robe to hide it

My tailor is a Twilek. She usually runs around in a beige intricate dress with matching dress slippers and a matching bone crest. Or a white and yellow loose dress with sandals and a yellow lekku wrap. Or the outfit she has on now is the mint green (pastel green near the last row) and bright blue. It's a blue rugged jacket with mint trim, a blue and mint sports bustier (mint showing thru the opening in the jacket), blue thin striped pants with a mint stripe and mint dress slippers with a blue lekku wrap. It's busy on color but it works

For guys, one of my favorite outfits I try to get them to wear is the decorative vest with a matching soft undershirt and a modest skirt in two colors. It's pretty spiffy, but a lot of guys shy away from the whole dress looking thing It also looks great with matching comfortable slacks tho heh.

Right now, most guys are into armor on my server. They want clothes to match their helms or what not, can be tricky with some of the colors lol they also are still stuck in dusters. There is only so many ways to dress up a duster and they all end up looking the same

It's sad when I see guys on my server with nothing but dusters and Swoop Helmets. I'm a guy and I have become hopelessly addicted to buying all sorts of clothes... In fact, I'm even thinking about grinding Tailor just to cut the middle man out of my habbit.

Right now I like to wear a t-shirt and jeans with sneakers. It's amazing that THAT kind of outfit would actually look original in the game.

What I'm really looking forward to is my new costume that Perce is perfecting. It's an Aquaman costume. Green cold weather gloves, Orange soft undershirt and Green Infiltrator leggings (although I'm going to try it with some other pants to see what's best). I'm also having some green boots made, but I don't suppose that I need to tell any of you here that the colors availible for boots suck.

If the Aquaman things works out, I'm probably going to try an Aqualad outfit (Blue shorts or Hotpants, Red shirt and Blue cold weather gloves).

There are a lot of comic book characters that I know can be done, even though we don't have any capes yet.

I'm a Tailor as well as a TKA Master. While I was leveling up, I decided that I needed a decent training outfit, so I made myself a Gi.

White Trim Lined Shirt

All white Reinforced Pants

White Sandals

Black Bristle Hide Belt with red trim

Since then I've packaged this outfit in a pack on my vendor, with one on display, and I think I've sold about 60 of them as is, as well as a few custom ordered in black.

I need to start this again...

But here's what I used to do. In my old shop, I didn't have a single-piece clothing article. It was all sets. They will all have sample on the show room with names on them. And when they go to the vendor, they will look for the back-pack with corresponding names.

I.E. Correlian Night collections consists of Grand Ball Room gown in the color of purple at the bottom and yellow on the top with matching shoes and necklace.

From Hoth with Love will be white wooly jacket, white/baby blue hawt pants, white gloves, and a warm hat.

I have countless other ideas, along with corny names to boot.

Will just have to dig them up....

Thanks for the news. I am pretty new to SWG and am a novice Tailor. I didn't know how to sell a whole outfit. Thanks for this tip, I already wondered about that. Does this work only with a Vendor or also at a Bazaar?

My so far favourites (that I can make myself ) are :

Black/white soft undershirt and a black/ white Wrapped skirt and white leather gloves. optional with black shoes.

I still have to find a only waist length jacket that will match this outfit.

Second a broadstriped shirt in skyblue/white and a wrinkled pant in white. Looks quite well...

One of my better selling combos for female toons is my "Camoflage Outfit". Spec ops duster, Sports Bustier, Paramilitary Camos and Uniform Boots, all in "Camouflage" motifs. I've got Desert (Yellows & Oranges), Jungle (Greens, Dark Greens and Dark Dark Greens), and Arctic (White and Aqua). Looks good on most female characters, and I can make them availiable with BE Enhancments

Lately I've been running around in an ubese shirt, thin striped pants black with stripe matching shirt, elegant gemstone neclace and black women's shoes. Sometimes i throw a jacket over it (the leathery one with contrasting trim--forgot the name) or just put on my ns bracer.

Another favorite is wrinkled pants with matching revealing top and mabariweave belt. (that belt really fits!!)

Also, metal bikini with belted skirt to match looks very nice.

our server has had 2 major tk outfits, the matching decorative vest/modest skirt and the doctors dress with a matching comp helmet. I sold a LOT of those for about 3 months, but now they are tapering off.

If you are doing camo gear, try making "planet specific" wear. I do a dantooine camo suit that is purples and yellow-greens, as well as an endor camo suit that is vibrant greens. Corellia would be yellows but I don't get muchcall for it. Though the dathomir outfit, indark reds and browns is always a big hit.

I can't tell you how fast my "Jedi Suits" go for though. Lined workshirt, multipocket bandolier, camo pants, and spec-ops duster (all with +4 melee/+x stun for a +16/+25 total) Most seem to want black, of course, but the tan/browns go JUST as fast. The jedi robes are pretty worthless in battle. They do offer a regenerative value AFTER large force use though. So jedi like these clothes. LOVE them actually.

If a jedi tries to wear armour, his saber does around 5-10 damage per hit, and he can't use any specials, nor any force powers. They will buy any clothing with mods that enhance battle situations. Bleeds seem to be ignored, as they can cure it with a low-end jedi power.

I'm doing alot of skirt sales to men these days. They have started to notice that the skirts have a more formal look to them, and the refined skirt and two-tone are flying off the shelves into the hands of guys wanting to look different. The Reinforced Jacket, and Sleeveless Jacket are a nice match with them. The open front lets you change shirts in a great range of styles. No shirt, Suit Shirt, Trim-lined, Leather Trim, Flexform all look great with these.

I strongly urge anyone to check out this colour chart for information on how to make great matching colours for any outfit. Clicky
