Does anybody know how to get 4 sockets or is it just luck?

The procedure is pretty simple:
1) Meditate for at least 15 minutes. Try to picture yourself making that beautiful 4 socket item.
2) Go gather your best materials and your best crafting tools.
3) Light some candles. 3 seems like a good number.
4) Say the magic incantation of your choice.
5) Make about 20 of the item. One of them will probably have 4 sockets.

I was on a roll last night!!!! I had three 4 socket pieces of clothing in a row. Then I was on a roll of 1 sockets. That roll lasted the rest of the night.

Has there been any update from the devs on if this will change? A friend of mine made me a couple new pieces last night and I needed 4 sockets since this will be buffing clothes.
Fashionably Pleated Skirt: 27 tries to get 4 sockets
Low-Cut Top: 22 tries
Lekku Ys'rak: got lucky -- only took 3 tries
Link-Steel Gloves: 19 tries
She also said that one of her assemblies was an amazing success yet it had *0* sockets so its not tied to the assembly roll...
This is rediculous. Ifwe weren't good friends, she would have given up long before getting 4 sockets. BE socketed clothes are now a thing of the past, at least for me...
At least Armorsmith can experiment on the sockets. I know a lot of tailors don't want to have to deal with quality resources or experimenting, but it would at least provide the OPTION to get more sockets when making an expensive item like BE clothing or a loot-schematic item. If itremains random, they need to change their percentages to make 4 sockets more common. And I'd argue that a master tailor should *NEVER* get below 2 sockets and 4 should befairly common. Maybe not the 99% that it was before the socket nerf, but certainly a lot better than it is now.
Does having clothing experimentation tapes help increase the chance of 4 sockets? She said until she was master, even with tailoring 4 she was never ever able to get 4 sockets. So at least your maximum number of sockets would appear to be tied to the experimentationskill.
Maybe this will be one of those 'correspondant issues' that gets fixed in 10.1. I cannot see how making the same item over and over trying to get 4 sockets is any fun...
And I realize this topic is beating a dead horse, but as a *CUSTOMER* I find this extremely frustrating as it means I can't get the clothes I want any more, not without paying an exhorbatant amount of money to cover all the failed assemblies.

I am certainly willing to try, but it is mostly luck that we get sockets at any level. 2 seems to be my median for sockets. lots of 1's and 3's and more 0's than 4's
I could make a few backpacks worth of shirts to see what the results are with normal master tailor and with a healthy +27/+28 experimentation/assembly mod. I doubt things have changed in awhile. I think it was Momoko that did a big run of experimentation awhile ago and there was really no way to predict the outcome, being completely and utterly random.

As far as I can tell, it is still the same, but I haven't done a big run in a long time. You would think that it *should* be based on your tailor assembly, but it doesn't seem to be. I will do another big run soon.

I tend to hit 4 sockets more frequently on leather gloves. Go figure.

I sincerely hope the devs are trying to at least cap the amount of tries it takes to produce a 4 socketed item. It's ridiculous that even using mods and aprons you can burn thru thousands of credits worth of material trying to make a 4 socket item. And the worst part, i'm barely making any credits as is, let alone using 6 crates of synth cloth,3 crates of trim and 2 crates of jewelry settings to get one 4 socket schem.I only keep tailor because my guild needs one and i haven't finished my own wardrobe yet.Definately not because i'm making credits.

Oh, and FYI, armor sockets are just as random as clothing sockets... spoken as someone who makes both on a regular basis.
