Hey all! Moibeal here! Don't know if you remember me but I was a Master Tailor/Image Designer on both Chimaera and Shadowfire. I left the game about 9 months ago and have decided to give it a try again.

I was wondering what has changed withtailoring over the past 9 months or so, anything major I should know? Could anyone sum it up for me? If so I'd really appreciate it.. I'd like to know what is facing me when I finally get back in game.

Nice to see you all again!

Moibeal

Oh P.S. Does anyone out there rarely ever format and maybe still have my old website (Moibeal's Master Makeovers - Was at www.Breigh.com ) in a cache somewhere? When I left the game I deleted the entire site and didn't make a backup as I thought I'd never be returning to the game *Sigh* I'm an idiot, I know.. I tried to look for it in the different websites that keep different sites cached but no luck. If I could just get my hands on a view source.. argh! hehe

hmm travel back to Christmas of last year... The great holocron giveaway.

  • OK, since then, we have had the Necklace bug fixed. When crafting necklaces, you can see them properly, they appear in houses and inventory all the same. It was fixed about 2 months ago.

  • Sockets are now random, so that most of us have noticed 2 sockets being the norm, with 4 sockets appearing anywhere from 5% - 15% of the time, but definately on the low side.

  • Wookie armour has appeared in the game, taking away alot of wookie clients, because like those composite armour tanks, it's better to keep your armour on 24/7 so you don't lose out on great defenses when buffs die. (You usually can't put the armour back on because of the HAM cost)

  • Wookie armour requires tailoring components that are new. The Wookie Armour Padding takes quality ingredients and experimentation. If you have some experiment tapes, then you could be asked to start churning these out.

  • Chef hats and aprons have appeared due to the Chef Revamp that occured about 6 months ago.

  • Limited use schematics are now loot items. (Backpacks, Belts, Aprons) These items grant some fairly nice mods, but require loot items to make. You only have 3 attempts per schematic, though you do have the option to make factory runs if you have enough of the same serial number on those rare pieces.

  • You missed out on an interesting bug that caused the client to crash when wearing certain clothes, which was around February.

  • There was a correspondent summit a few weeks ago, where SOE brought all the correspondents together in preparation for the combat revamp. While this was going on, the rangers and tailors began a friendly war concerning hawtpants, the article of clothing that some rangers refuse to even pronounce.

  • The Combat revamp coming out soon has each of our corresponents testing the system, along with a team of 5 for each profession. Team Hawtpants will represent the tailors, and will vanquish the evil rangers who have been trying to thwart us.

haha excellent! Thanks for all the info..

One thing I've been wondering is about BE clothing. When I was tailoring it was all sort of funky and buggy and I avoided it totally. I still did a great deal of business with those who really weren't too concerned about it.

Is this a total requirement nowadays to include these BE materials to your clothing?

No, but they're certainly a lot less buggy. Bonuses stack between slots correctly, tissues can be used from crates, et cetera. (Bonuses do not stack within slots, this is intended)

It depends on how much I like the game now that I am back and if I have the energy to remake the site, as I deleted it and didn't keep a backup (stupid stupid me)... but we'll see
