I just bought a clothing craft station with 44.59 FR.

When I try to craft a specialised item requiring it, it doesn't show up for me to select.

But works finewhen near a public craft station or someone else's.

What gives?

Have you placed this item into your own house yet and then stood next to it? or is it in inventory?

It does not work from inventory FYI

Are there any other crafting stations in your house? If so, the CLOSER station controls, meaning that if you're closer to a food/chem station, that will block your clothing station from working.

It's the only crafting station in my house. Just doesn't want to work.

Made and bought from Palomino. I'm sorry to say m8, your making faulty goods. Dead On Arrival.

I went and bought a 43FR and it works fine in my home.

Looks like I'll be destroying this 44FR. What a waste of money.

This happened to me once. It used to work, becuase it belonged to a friend that used to be an AS. I just destroyed the station and bought a droid that I can use any time andanywhere. If I need to experiment I'll go to a specialized city anyway.

It's not the architect's fault. I've heard of stations that were bugged before in this way. Sometimes they come back and work, but most times they don't. Had one that you actually had to stand inside of to get it to register.

I have had a buggy station as well and I know for a fact it wasn't the architech's fault because I was the Architech . What I found to get it to work is to A) Make sure it isn't protruding into a wall B) Try different spots in the house, or C) Ask a friend you trust to drop it in their house and see if it works for them.

I had this happen moodily with my food&chem station... I was standing right in front of it and sometimes it wouldnt register that it was there. I did have it next to other stations, but I moved them all into the farthest room away and in a backpack, and the problem was still there. Tried putting it in the middle of the room not touching anything, still had the problem. I moved my house from Dantooine to Tatooine, the problem is gone.

My theory was the lag.

It's not the lag, but the server boundaries. If you place your house on or beside a server boundary, then the servers will have problems when calculating where an item is, if you can pick something up, item visibility, pack inventories, and a host of other issues. The best plan is to move your house a few lots away and try again. That sounds like a pain, but it will probably help alot of other issues from happening to you. Many players have had entire backpacks of valuable items disappear because one server believed the other next-door-neighbour server had taken care of it, and both deleted it.

You might just try placing that crafting station in a neighbours house 2 lots away and test it first to see how things are.
