Yes and no
Yes it works, but the only item that allows experimentation is the padded armour segments for wookie armour (commonly known as "wookie pillows")

So is a +2 sash worth anything to anyone?
I know experimentation sells well but I imagine not well for only one use.

Unless clothing experimentation is changed to alter some aspect of the clothing, the experimentation is never going to matter. I would hate to have to experiment or look for quality material, but for those that are looking into such a possibility, the fact is that there is nothing to experiment on.
Wookie Pillows have base %, condition, ham costs. You can experiment these to be more effective. Clothing has nothing. The condition on clothes is 1000, but decay is percentage based. That means a 10 condition loss to an insured/cloned death. if the condition was experimented up to 2000 condition, the loss is going to be 20 condition, and the same 1% loss.

You might want to try and seel it to Armoursmiths/Tailors. AS's are always looking for ways to make better armour.
