and maybe it is lol

I was wondering if you can make reasonable cash as a master tailor (i know it depends alot on economy per shard..but anyways)...

Right now i started a new carreer as a crafter profession after mastering various different combat profs and i'm hesitating between Tailor & DE (Weapon/armor/archi = not interested, Chef/BE = 2 of my friends are going that path already) I dont want to be uber rich by crafting, but still able to earn some good cash.

Many people complain that DE's are amongts the poorest of the crafting profession...what about tailor ?

My tailor is my alt account, but sometimes I think I play her more than my main. My whole goal was to create the kind of shop I had always been looking for. It's nowhere near the point I want it to be, but I'm already having trouble restocking, because I get so much business. I was laughing last night cause I just wanted people to stop coming in so I could finish my shop! I'm not rich compared toa WS or AS, butmy tailorhas more money in her bank than my combat character (although last night I looted a +25 dizzy CA sothe combat willprobably be richer soon.)

Between special orders and my vendor, I makealmost amillion a day

Most of it is from crates of black mod clothes. Black Lined Workshirt, Black Paramilitary Camo Pants, Black Multipocket Bandolier, Black Spec-Ops Duster (each with +4 melee/+15 stun tissues)

For those that special order from me, I custom colour, fit, match, discuss what looks good and what looks bad, colour accessorizing and tweaking, suggestions for ID changes with the outfits, etc. I have customers drop up to 700k in a 30 minute session. I have a very healthy cash flow because I sell the people what they want.

Make sure that when you buy tissues from a BE, that you buy as much as humanly possible. I ask for 20+ crates at a time. When I get a 4 socket item, it goes Black and into a schematic and I run a few crates of it. Nothing sells faster than 4 socket BE clothing. +4/+15 Lined Workshirt (25k), +16 Cover Shirts (30k), +25 Medical hats (the poofy chef hats - 50k)

I go through these items by the crate.

For quick cash, I sell factory crates of synth cloth, armor padding, or trim on the Theed bazaar.Other bazaar hot-sellers are, ... well anything as long as it is black. I always stock up the bazaar before logging for the night. Sure, bazaar sales aren't in the millions, but over time, it all adds up and it gets your name out there.

Another thing I find useful is tobelong to a bank in a populated planet. Naboo is my favorite planet for sooo many reasons. Therefore,Ibelong to the Naboo bank andload up the safety deposit box with clothing items. Then I canput a bunch of stuff on the bazaar (in Theed there is a bank terminal right next to the bazaar terminal) in a matter of mintues. I also keep factory crates of all my items there so, if I run out when working with a customer, I don't have to go back to my Lok shop -- just pop by the bank and keep on going.

I also spend a lot of time in cantinas with my Master Tailor tag up and get tons of business. When I finish an order with a friendly person, I send a "thank you for your patronage" email and include the wps for my two shops for future reference.

Now that I am master, I avoid Tatooine like the plague. It was fun for a while, but now I realize that no one has any money on Tatooine yet want to have my most complicated/expensive items If you are just starting out, though, make anything you can, make it in black, and put it on the Mos Eisely bazaar. This will fund your business until you can make higher priced sales.

Ok, so I dropped Chef. I just didn't like it. Leave me alone!
