Many jedi are wanting ability to get multi colored robes and other styles, why not give tailors and BEs to make the stuff needed to make jedi robes. I would hate looking like a bloody clone . So you could have a clothes horse jedi who wants every color robe possible or one who just wants basic black prob cuz it looks sliming . This definately could be one way to help out community while adding content for jedi.

If we were able to do that, I would spend a fortune getting the best BE enhancements and putting them all into robes ranging in color from light purple to pink and maybe some yellows too just to screw with the Jedi....lol.

I wouldn't mind making jedi robes. Hey, business is business!

Clothing, BE clothing, factional clothing, jedi clothing.... it's all in our domain. We are the makers of cloth and clothes. It should be ours and ours alone. Doctors don't make armour and chefs don't make grenades. Each profession is designed to be the sole creator of their craft.

I think that rugs, tables and sculpturesfrom loot kits should all be made by architects and artisans. Paintings that come as loot like the twi'lek portrait (loving it) should be schematics for artisans as well. There is too much reliance on obtaining the good things in this game by pulling them off a bloodied corpse. My favourite robe is the metal chest plate/fluffy outer material robe that is worn by Bib Fortuna at Jabba's palace. It's a loot drop only. Maybe someday we can make that, but for now, it's rare and only able to be worn by a lucky few that strip it off a dead meatlump.

If we accept this as the natural order of things, then jedi would HAVE to come to us for their robes. Lightsabers I can see, because the jedi is making it themselves with Force Senses to guide them. Having the robes given automatically, hmmm no. The number of times I see a jedi actually wear these is rare indeed, anyway. Usually they enter Force Meditation and don it to help gain force points back.

Having tailors make jedi clothing would allow colourization changes, socketing, BE tissue addition, and perhaps experimenting on the jedi stats in them.

I agree. The increased "lootification" of the game, and a shift away from player crafted items, is a great concern.

Compare how many new art items have been put in as loot versus how many have been put in for tailors, architects, or armorsmiths.

I very much agree with this as well. I think having some loot items is a very good thing, it gives people something kind of rare and unique to collect (I do). But I think that for tailors it is waaaaay out of balance.

The limited schematics that we can get(aprons/packs/toolkits) do not fall within the ideal that most of the tailors have for the profession. These items are are made for others to use in their profession, there is little or no aestetic quaility to these items, it's all about function.

What we need is form OVER function, we need and want to be able to make more things that just absolutely look great. Items that will not stop a T-21 blast but will make someone LOOK like they could. An outfit that will not make a dancer or musician any better at but draw all eyes to them anyhow.

I understand that having some functional clothing like crafter's aprons is important to the game. But it defeats the purpose of being a tailor if our primary focus is not addressed... How a character looks in the clothing they wear.

I completely agree with this point. My main is Master Weaponsmith. It's hard to stay on par with the *big boys* because I can't afford the millions of credits they can to purchase these ubar looted components that are use in weapons that are in high demand.
