Player Correspondent Opening: Tailor
· Are you knowledgeable about theTailor profession?
· Are you a community leader?
· Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
· Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?
The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Tailor Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.
Some things that you need to consider when applying:
· Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
· Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
· Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.
· Please include your forum name in the letter
If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Tailor Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.
After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.
We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.
Thank you.

Question 1: Do Team Hawtpants members have an advantage or disadvantage in being appointed corr?
No. I have expressed my desire to TH and Tiggs that everyone be on equal footing with respect to this application process. Many fine tailor posters do not have combat experience, and did not apply - the fact that you didn't apply will NOT be looked upon as an unwillingness to help make the game better. Combat experience has virtually nothing to do with being the tailor correspondent. In addition, I am confident that we are at a point in time where a new non-sandbox-tester could easily get "up to speed" on the CU issues. Therefore, Team Hawtpants membership is a non-issue in the correspondent applicant process.

It is just you.....there is no conspiracy theory here which is what I read between the "line" in your post ![]()
It is all about timing both in SWG and RL....we just finished JTL Beta and are ramping up to CU Alpha/Beta.
I hate to see any of the Corrs go, but each person's different reasons can not be questioned when it comes to RL.....
Absolutely not. We all have opinions. But you must do the following.
1) bring forward opinions that you don't necessarily agree with if it is the community consensus
2) not represent your own views as those of the community, or use the post to push your personal agenda.
As long as you say "this is my opinion X, but the tailors think Y" you've done your job.

Then you are seeing the wrong conspiracy. I see the exodus of Correspondents in thepast two weeks as one thing; Burn out over a thankless job. As a Correspondent yourself, surely you can see this on the Corr Forums. Alot seem to just be fizzling.

I am not burnt out. I simply feel that it's the right thing to do to give someone else a chance. But if you think I'm lying there's nothing I can say to convince you otherwise.
Nope, not saying any one person is burnt out NJ, just seeing it as a possibility. The job seems to have its bonuses and it's detractions. The major detraction seems to be the fact that you are a buffer for when things go hooey between the Community Relations Manager and us players. I know Tanks has gotten ripped into alot, and I have been guilty of it once. Kind of like shooting the messenger. Bad Gonz.../whap.

I think it is just a convenient time. JTL is now out and the combat upgrade is about to begin (actually I am guessing it probably already has). The CU will involve almost all professions so if a correspondent is thinking of passing the baton to someone else, this is a good time to do it.
