Tailors would like clarification on the socketing issue that was addressed in the 10 questions thread on 6/10.
Currently master tailors seem to get 4-socketed items about 10% of the time (post the wookiee armor patch). Obviously, they would like to increase this percentage, as they were getting 4 sockets consistently pre-patch.

Regardless and/or including what has been said on this issue so far, my intention is to convince the dev team to improve the number of sockets a Master Tailor can craft into an item to be more equitable. It is my belief that at the very least, a master Tailor should be able to get 3-4 sockets per item because they are a Master.

Thanks for the update NJ, and thanks, too, for the good word from TH. I seem to have picked two of the professions that get the least response/attention from the devs so it's nice to know that when we do get a response it's one that agrees with and supports something we as a community also want. It would also be nice to have an approximate time frame on when we might expect to see some changes in this regard, though I can appreciate that they do have a lot of things to work on and might not yet have a good idea when they can get to it.

Yea, hmm, well, I suppose the news is good? But then again, it's been 2 months since we asked this question, gotten no response to our actual question, so I guess my message to TH is "Try Harder". You know, and his message implies that there is reluctance on the devs parts to make this happen. I really have a hard time believing that.

I just made 30 soft undershirts. 5 had NO sockets at all. 2 of them had 3 sockets. 1 of them was a critcal fail and NONE had 4 sockets. That's pathethic as a Master.

Hmmm, and I was gonna ask if anyone else had noticed an INCREASE in the production of 4 socket items today. I was doing some crafting tonight and got some 4 socket items right on the first or second tries, and some others after maybe 4 or 5 tries. I was beginning to become convinced that our odds of getting 4 sockets had increased from about 1 in 10 to maybe 1 in 4 or 5... Anyone else noticing a difference?

I have beenmaking more 4 socket items since publish 9 but I'm still wondering if its just luck.

its not hard to believe there is reluctance there art, i mean it *IS* game breaking after all =P
can't they post an offical "NO LOVE FOR YOU.... NEXT!" from the dev's to us tailors? hehehe okay thats a bit drastic but it feels like that.
beyond all that though it just shows that N'Jessi being the squeeky wheel that she is may finally be squeeking enough to get some oil/grease?

I had such bad luck last night! Someone asked for some items with at least 3 sockets (I convinced them that 4 sockets can be really difficult). I got 1 socket 4 out of the 6 times I made anything.

Thanks very much.
Let's hope this doesn't take as long as the necklace bug to fix!

I just tried to make 4 socket belts, sunguard and gloves. I got the sunguard on the first try but it took me 6 tries on the gloves and 4 on the belt. I quit tailor about 3 months ago and at that time i could get 4 sockets most of the time as master. Now it is seems alot harder.

HI!
I was in search of some lines about socketing and just asking me if this happens to anyone else....
Since JTL I had a fewtimes the problem that I craft the same item 10-times and got none with any socket. Yes, they had NO sockets. This happens today again with Hide Boots. Well, I didn't try to make more, cause this seams to doesn't make sense. I had the same problem last week with a Two-Tone Formal Skirt, I tryed that 5 times and gived up than, but when I craft it this week it got 2 sockets. This seams very mysterious to me, so may be some other had the same problem. Would be great to know if this is normel or a bug. Or was there anything changed without a Patchnote?

The number of sockets just seems to be sooo random, I really cannot figure out if it's even working correctly or not. I cannot even figure out if my force sensitive even helps!
