Many months ago I posted a petition on the Dancer board. It was to give us men the ability to go topless, ie. nerf the wife beater A-shirt.
Now I'd like to petition them that we bring back the wife beater A-shirt as a craftable object. Granted I like being able to go topless, but I also used to love the wifebeater A-shirt as far as making outfits that utilize it.
Sure this isn't gonna be the holy grail of clothing, nor will too many of you even care to make it but it will be a new item and i'm sure everyone out there that wasn't around back then, will think its an awesome new addition.
Ok here are my points as to why this should be done:
1) Will count as a "new" item of clothing both for tailors and nontailors.
2) The models for the wifebeater A-shirt are already done so the only thing to code would be the crafting portion of it and I would assume that would only be 20 hide and 20 fiberplast or something similar.
4) SOE can claim new content and it should take next to no work.
5) Wifebeaters just look cool and are easy to match with nearly any outfit.
Please sign off on this if you think it's a good idea and add any reasons why this is a good idea that I might have missed.
Edited: Replaced wifebeater with the proper name: A-shirt

Honestly, if the original poster had completely erased "wifebeater" and replaced it with A-shirt, I never would have had a clue what was being discussed. I've always heard it called either a tank top or a wifebeater, wifebeater being the more common term I hear.
I believe the term originates from the tendency of men on Cops arrested for domestic violence always seeming to be wearing them. Or probably something very much like that.

3) To my knowledge there aren't any male only clothes. This could be the first since it was originally modeled and code only for males.
Actually, the smock is male-only.
But I agree with you--more male clothing would be fantastic!

A-shirt is actually the real name. I thought it was but I looked it up on Hanes' website. If anyone knows what a wifebeater is called it's hanes.
On another note, either the tailor board is very slow or noone thinks this is a very good idea.

The wifebeater or properly named the A-shirt is the white tanktop that men wear as an undershirt.

Sure there are other things you may want, but this is one of those things they should be able to add easily and don't really have an excuse not to do it next patch.

We do have tank tops on the big list of things that we want... There are only so many things I can nag about at a time before the devs tune me out.

Necro-bump since they still haven't brought back the a-shirt/wife beater. I assume they didn't just delete all code related to it, even if they did SOE has to have a back-up copy somewhere.
To my knowledge it's the only article of clothing they gave us then took away. (sorta)
