Thread: Why Do I HAVE To Wear an Undershirt?
Title says it all but ill repeat it for the forgetful people..... Why do i have to wear an undershirt?
Im a Trandoshan male.... why is my bare chest considered offensive? There is a socially accepted standard that says males can run around topless, it is the females that must traditionally cover up (in the USA anyway).
Anyway that i can pull off the bare chested look in the game as it is? ive got some pantaloons that look like beach trunks when i wear them.. they look pretty cool. Id like to be able to pull off that beach bum look.
If any male in the game does not have a shirt or jacket equip they have on an undershirt... it's just how it is.
Only way to show any chest is with an openjacket on and no shirt ( chest shows in the opening). Not so good for the beach bum look though.
However I do agree there is no reason men shouldn't be able to go around with no shirt on. Perhaps something that could be changed in the future.

Not to get all logical on ya, but Trandos are reptiles, so they probably woudn't even have nipples. 
And maybe it's the Canadian in me, but I wouldn't be offended if males and females could walk around topless. But sure, it's a rated T game, and every sad **edit** in the game would just be running around topless as a woman saying "She's an amazon type! It's my character!" or "I likez teh b00b13s!", so fine, Human, Twi'lek and Zabraks stay clothed.
Realistically, I can't see why Mon Cal, Trando, and Bothans need to wear clothes at all instead of starting semi-unclothed. Heck, the Wookiees do it! 
I played a female trandsoshan during beta and found it very odd that she wore a bra even though she was reptilian and didn't have breasts.I don't quite understand the male undershirt thing either. I guess they decided to go with the modest look (even though some of the clothing is far more revealing than the underwear...go figure....
