The number of sockets in a particular piece is determined by the tailors skill in the Tailoring Line as well as the experimentation he does on it.

As it stands Skill Enhancers are mob drops.....rare mob drops.

BE's can make components that tailors add into the optional slots in certain pieces that can give them beneficial properties.

Hmph. That doesn't do a buisnessman/doctor a lot of good, does it? I seldom kill anything I could eat for dinner.

Hmmm. Are these components that tailors normally have in stock? As a doctor, I might have someconnections to folks that could make these. What kind of components are we talking about here, anyway? What do they do?

Is any of this written down anywhere? It seems like this should all be in a manual or something (or at least an FAQ or something). Thank you all for your patience.

So I'm a novice doctor and I have a very successful pharmaceutical company on Tatooine, but I know absolutely nothing about clothes. In fact, I've been walking around in the same flame-singed Tusken Raider robe nearly since I started. (Some girl gave it to me shortly after I started playing.)

However, I'm beginning to think I need a "new look." I keep hearing about clothes that have sockets in them. I assume that you put something in the sockets to give the clothes special properties, but that just begs a few questions from someone that doens't know any better. First of all, how many sockets can certain clothing items contain? Can a jacket contain more than a short or vice-versa? Can you wear a shirt under a jacket whiel both have sockets?

Also, once I've got some socketed clothes, where can I get the powerups to put in them? Are they made by artisans?

Forgive me for being an idiot. I know nothing about clothes but I can make some pretty awesome stimpacks.

Finally, I'd like to know if there's a tailor around that would be interested in helping me out (preferably on Tatooine, but I'll travel - I'm not picky and could use an excuse to get out for a bit). I could probably use a bit of fashion advice. Like I said, I'm working my way towards master doctor, but I'm a businessman, foremost - I just deal in making and selling medicine. I was thinking about an administrator's robe (white with red trim, perhaps), but I wonder if that's a bit boring.

Anyway, I'm sure I've taken up too much of your time already. If you're interested in helping me out, contact Bulbados in game.

Thanks a ton.

I think socketed clothing still isn't working right yet

I don't know what determines how many sockets you get. I've made jackets and gloves with the same amount of sockets in them.

Yes you can stack socketed clothing. You could theoretically have every item you're wearing have all their sockets filled.

Skill enhancements for clothing cannot be crafted. You have to find it as loot or buy it off someone.

I know I missed something but I hope that helps to some degree. Feel free to ask any more questions if my answers just confused you more You're not wasting anyones time.
