Hi. I made a Hide Boots and a Weighted Wookie Hood Headwear, and in both cases, I gained General Crafting Experience instead of Tailoring experience.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Items in the Domestic Tree of Artisan Profession will always give general crafting experience even after gaining Novice Tailor. You are not doing anything wrong just the way game is set up.

You also need a clothing crafting tool to make the tailored goods. You should only craft those items granted in the tailoring tree to gain xp in tailoring now.

There area few items in the tailoring tree that are bugged and give general crafting xp. I don't remember which, but I know it includes a couple of wookiee items. These items have been told to our correspondant, Alichai, and are on her master list to get fixed.
