Just wanted to sound out some opinions from my fellow tailors here. When I was working my way towards novice tailor, I went ahead and bought all four levels of engineering in the artisan tree, mostly so I could build my own personal harvesters. Now that I've made master, I'm buying higher power harvesters from architects, and in any case can simply buy personal harvesters on the market if I need them.
My question is this: at this point, is there any point in maintaining engineering? The reason I ask is this: does it affect the number of sockets you get when you produce clothes? If so, does it affect all patterns, or just the basic artisan ones? If it only affects artisan patterns, I'll junk it: those account for less than ten percent of my sales nowadays.
Skill points are a luxury anymore, and if I could jetison a redundant skill, I'd like to do so. Is it completely redundant, though?
Thanks in advance for any responses from those in the know.

Doesn't effect sockets, doesnt effect clothing or colouring choices, simply doesnt effect tailors.

I posted asking the same thing. Once I dropped it, my artisan clothing no longer gets sockets like they use to. I rarely make them, but therestill are a few goodies among them, they just won't have sockets if you buy them from me. ^_^
