I know there are the back packs, I was hoping for something less costly in terms of resources. I want to use these for sorting items and be able to toss them w/o any care. I will be needing a lot of them, that is why the cheap cargo pocket work well for me.

Travel Packs are the cheapest things we can craft as a storage container, and are the best for vendors and other disposable use. I go through tons selling components.

If you're organizing in a house, all sorts of furniture are storage containers now. Find a friendly Architect to make a bunch of items with the names you want.

For your inventory, I'd hit the bazaar every time I'm nearby and buy up all the Satchels that appear.

From your description, it sounds like you're going to want to go with Travel Packs. They don't really cost that much in resource terms. (Remember, you don't need good hide for them, they're a Tailor item.
