Anyone know whatmake one pack different then another pack?

Like why would I want a Millitary pack over a Travel pack? They both have 50 slots, is the difference only cosmetic?I am an aspiring BH and sodoes the BH pack just look different then the other packs?

Near as I've been able to tell, to the end user, looks are the only thing I can see different. There are definetely differences on the crafting side tho.

Speardancer Master Artisian, Shipwright and 12pt Armorsmith *cancelation pending*

Well, I /bug'd it anyway. For organization is has limited usefullness too, since resources placed in them cannot be see by Crafting Tools. Sure I can put all my outfits and tools and stimkits/healpacks away, but the resources was the main reason I wanted them.

Oh well, hope they change that display bug than. Thanks!

Anyone have details about HOW packs are supposed to work?

I've noticed that anything you put in a Travel Pack still counts towards your capacity till you Equip it. That seems to work just fine.

However Cargo Packs and Satchels don't seem to work that way. As you put items into them your current capacity seems to drop, BUT it's still counted against you.

So if you're at 50/60 and you pick up ten items you'll be at 60/60. You move the 10 items into a Cargo Pack and your capacity drops to 50/60 however you're still counted as having a 60/60 capacity and you can't pick up any more items or even move things around (such as equip a blaster in a Travel Pack since you get Container Full errors.)

So are Cargo Packs supposed to reduce the weight of items or not? My 10 item Cargo Pack says it has a volume of 11 (10 items + the pack) and that counts against me, but my inventory screen shows 50/60 yet I can't pick up anything.

Items in unequipped packs, pockets, and satchels -do- count against your total, and that is as designed. I don't like the way it is implemented though, since exactly what you describe happens: it -looks- like your amount has gone down while in fact you are still carrying those items and they are added into what you see as your inventory total. Misleading and confusing.

cargo pockets and satchels are there mainly for organizational purposes. it will still count against you no matter what. its a real pain.
