Thread: So what sells the most?
I try to keep my vendor stocked with more than 800 items, but I still have doubts to what colors (except black) sell the most for some items.
What are the items that you sell the most, and in what colors? I would really like to have a very long list of the most appreciated colors except black - for example, I'm wondering what color of tactical skinsuits I should keep on my vendor.
Thanks in advance !
Wow that is a LOT of items! Nice though to keep it that well stocked. I have found that trader flightsuits sell very well. Black of course, but other colors too like Navy, Magenta, and Red also sell well. Tactical suits sell ok, but not like they used to.
Just curious -- on average how many of those 800 items do you sell in an average week?

Looking for best-selling items in colors other than black. My guess is that White will be prominent here.... (sorting, viewing....)
Ordered by number of sales:
1. Cloak - White
2. Light Bustier - Red
3. Light Bustier - Blue
4. Light Bustier - Green
5. Small Bustier - Red
6. Hot Pants - Red
7. Formal Shirt - White
8. Cloak - Red
9. Reinforced Jacket - Red/Black
10. Striped Slacks - Red/Black
11. Muscle Shirt - White
12. Cloak - Green
13. Small Bustier - Green
14. Muscle Shirt - Red
15. FlexForm Shirt - Green/Black
Thanks ! I make sure to keep everything in black/white and often blue/green/red as well, and sometimes all kind of pinks/purple as well... But that's already too much work and I can't get myself to keep a list of what gets sold ![]()
What kind of tactical skinsuits do people ask from you? I sell a lot of blue/black, black/blue and black/red but I seem to have problems with the rest.
Believe it or not, even though I sell the Cloak, Spec-Ops Duster, and Gunman's Duster all for the same price, the Spec-Ops Duster sells best. The non-black colors always sell first. It wasn't always this way, so what changed?
My naming scheme. I used to name them according to the camo pattern - Forest Camo (Green/Brown or Black), Snowfield Camo (White/Gray), andDesert Camo (Tan or Yellow/Brown). Then I made a Red/black one, and really didn't know what to call it. I got to thinking about it, and it looked sort of like the camo someone might wear around the volcano on Lok. So, it became Lok Camo.
Within a few weeks, I'd renamed the others to fit this style; Endor Camo, Hoth Camo, Tatooine Camo, etc. I kept records just out of curiosity, and have been selling easily three times as many of each since. The Lok Camo sells best, followed closely by the Hoth Camo.
In terms of the amount of cash I make on an item during a given week, these are my best. As for what I sell the most of, regardless of price, that would be Long Uniform Gloves, Dress Slippers, Uniform Boots, and assorted Bustiers. I sell those all pretty cheap, though, so I don't make a terribly impressive amount of money off them, comparatively speaking.
I don't have Tactical Skinsuits yet, so can't answer that question....
Heavy reinforced jackets, padded workpants are a hot seller for me.
Patterned slip dresses sell great too if you have matching dress slippers.
The things I sell the most are:
1) Low cut tops (usually black trim)
2) Revealing top
3) Paramilitary camos (Forest Green/Black, Forest Green/Beige, are big sellers as well as funky color combinations)
4) Gunman's duster
5) Sports bustiers
6) Bands (rings, I usually sell a set a night almost and I label it Platinum Wedding Band or Gold )
7) Fashionably Pleated Skirt (a good thing never goes out of style)
8) Decorative vests with matching two toned skirts
9) High Quality Boots (I got 3k of tatooine wooly hides a few weeks ago so I have sold these for 2k)
10) Comfortable Slacks (For some reason they sell well)
Long Formal Jacket/ Dress Slacks (in Imp grey, of course)
Heavy Reinforced Jacket/ Reinforced Pants in bright colors w/ black. I have this outfit standing right in front of my combat clothing vendor in bright blue and black, and I can only guess that makes a difference. I'll throw 2 or 3 sets on the vendor, each in a different color, and those sell faster than anything, even the black/white camos, and always as a set.
Grand Ball Gowns using the new brights. The day we got new colors I made one with the palest orange on top, deepest on the bottom, decided to name it "sunset" instead of typing out the color names, and haven't been able to keep them in stock since. Unfortunately the bright orange grand healers robe with black trim I named "All Hallow's" is still sitting there
but it was worth a shot!
I have noticed a trend lately that will probably pick up through October. I'm getting requests for Halloween costumes, EU and immersion be damned. I originally thought there wouldnt' be much demand for orange beyond fighter suits, but I'm getting more and more people asking for orange, black and green outfits or something identifiable as a costume. I'm still holding out hope for that All Hallow's robe because of it. That includes a request yesterday for a deep blue infilt suit so they can play Mystique (with the snakeskin it actually turned out pretty well, I only wish they had feet like a skinsuit, we made due with blue women's shoes instead). Now I'm wondering if I'll see sales rise in December for red and white patterened slip dresses with matching warm hats.
