Thread: ideas for anime character costumes?
Cowboy Bebop-
Spike Spiegel -
Pilots Jacket - Cobalt Blue
Suit Shirt - Yellow base,Black tie
Comfortable Slacks - Cobalt Blue
Dress Shoes - Black works fine
Brown tipless gloves if you want to go for the Spike The Pilot effect
Preferably mix this outfit with an FWG5 Pistol for the full effect
Jet Black -
Mangy Vest - Bluish coloring
Short Sleeve Shirt - Pinkish coloring
Bangles- Blackish
Those pants with the kneepads... can't think of the name... - Same color as the vest, browish knees
Silver Composite Boots (not tailor-made, but useful for the full Jet effect
And just for the full Jet effect, a composite left bracer/bicep in a tanish or standard hue, for his robotic arm
Edward -
Short Sleeve shirt - White
Short pants, your preference on these - black
Trigun-
Vash is impossible to make right now, since Gunman's Dusters can't be red. But there were two Trigun Characters I could think of costumes for -
Wolfwood -
Pilot's Jacket - Black or Dark Blue, different people color Wolfwood different ways.
Comfortable slacks - same colors as above
Formal Shirt - White
Dress shoes in brownish or casual shoes in tanish
Millions Knives (looks at his in-game name)
-
You can do this three ways -
Millions 1 -
Heavy Reinforced Jacket - Red
Comfortable slacks in White
White Leather Gloves
Red uniform boots
Millions 2 -
Reinforced Jumpsuit - White and Red
White gloves, red uniform boots
Millions 3 (my favorite) -
Reinforced Jacket - Red
Dress Shirt - White
Comfortable slacks - White
Uniform boots- Red
Leather Gloves - White
Hope this helps. I can do special requests for characters if you have any you'd like to see.
What Vash wears is actually almost identical to the in-game Smock (yes, it's wearable by men) and nothing like the Gunman's Duster. Unfortunately, the Smock doesn't come in red, either...
Also, you left out Vicious from Cowboy Bebop, for shame. There are a lot of ways to do his Red Dragon Clan getup, but I actually preferthe "Battle of Titan" desert-wear costume. Too bad we don't have capes, either.
This reminds me of the funiest order I've ever had. Three buddies came in and asked me to make them look like the characters of Lupin the 3rd. I couldn't get the Goemon costume even close to right, but I'll see if I can dig up the items I used for Lupin and Jigen (though I'm sure you can figure out for yourself at this point, they're pretty basic outfits).
We should have a Halloween-themed contest or series of contests for tailors only! "Best Anime Costume," "Best Movie Costume," "Best Comic Book Costume," etc., etc.
yeah actually for vash i was thinking more the councilman's robe in pure red if that is an option, i haven't tried it out yet though
Ok I am trying to piece this together in my head and looking and swgbio.com from work so I can't try it BUT
I think I may have something that can pass as Vash:
Decorative Vest - red
Formfitting Undershirt - red
Left Bone Armor Bracer - black or brown depending which episode you're mimmicing
Leather gloves - black
Fashionably Pleated Skirt - red
Boots of choice - black
I'll try it when I get home but that's hours away if anyone wants to give it a shot right now
First the matrix now anime... anybody ever consider that we're playing a star wars game? heh.

Tell that to all the creature handlers that turned the game into **edit**.

Apparently "Poke'mon" is a curse?
You know, this is the first game I have ever played that allowed people to customize their character so much and give them so many options with clothes. Since are clothes in the game, at this point, are essentially the same, it makes sense that some people would like to emulate their favorite characters from various media.
Yea its Star Wars, but it is also a game. How would it look if all the smugglers out there wore the outfits that Han wore in the movies, or if all the bounty hunters wore the Mandalorian Armor Boba Fett had? Pretty dang lame if you ask me. Now if I see someone walking around looking like Vash, Knives, Armitage, or any of the other great characters from anime that I love, then I am gonna think, "Wow, that's neat." But when I see everyone wearing comp. armor, I get bored and lose interest real fast.
All the clothes were put in for a reason, to customize your character how you want to. If it wasn't intended to allow people to put together outfits that made them look like anime characters, or people from the Matrix, then all the newbie players would look like Luke in A New Hope -=shudder=-.
So lighten up a little and try it out, you might like it.
