Thread: Designing for Men...

In my schematics, and in general, all clothing I see is shaped for females. Which, I suppose, makes sense, since I'm female, but it makes it difficult to see how things would look on a male character, so designing clothing for a male is somewhat more difficult for me. I know it just gets altered for men so it fits fine anyway, but I don't know how exactly how it will look till he puts it on, which is rather inconvenient. At least to me.

So my question is, is there a catalog out there with images of the clothing shaped for men? Or are all of the tailor catalogs out there done by female tailors?

Oh yeah. I think I've seen guys with ties, but I don't see any items in my schematics with a tie. Am I missing something, or am I just seeing wrong on the people?

Thanks.

By default, all items appear as they would on female character. Only if it is a male only piece of clothing will it show up in a male form.

As for the tie, one of the shirts (the formal shirt I think) appears with a tie if a man wears it. However, since a woman can wear it, it shows up in your schematic as it would on a woman, so the tie is not visible.

I *think* this is on the "top issues for tailors" list, but am not sure.

Thanks. That's a pity. Especially the tie bit not showing up until a guy puts it on.

All in all, this makes things more difficult. Hopefully I can make something that looks good. Don't want to disappoint my customer.

The shirt with the tie is the suit shirt.
