Definitely check out swgtailor.com My previous location on Starsider was outside Theed and it was a great place to be. Things sold on the bazaar like hotcakes too. I've now moved to a player city which provides more custom orders and repeat customers, I'm really enjoying that more If you do decide on a player city I would recommend asking the locals if there is a Tailor in town and get to know their policies and regulars

Kwee has it right......

I have a well stocked shop, in as good a location as SWG allows, but I make far more credits from the bazaar.

Running a shop can be fun but it's not always a steady income.

I'd still stock the bazaar for operating capital.

Ya don't mention whether you are working the Merchants skills. I'd suggest those if you open a shop.

Oh yeah, I'm planning on grabbing the entire hiring line and whichever column gives me the skill to be listed on the planetary map.

I also like the Efficiency branch. It gives you maint discounts on vendors, bazaar listings and all structures. That includes harvesters and factories.

My factory costs more maint than my shop and vendors together...

Yeah location plays a big part for how well your sales go in a shop. Basically you want a high traffic area thats easy to get to and easy to remember. Directly north, south...etc, from an NPC town works well, or if you can manage to get a memorable set of coordinates. PC towns don't usually get as much traffic as the NPC ones but being next to the shuttleport or in the heart of the trade district (if they have one) helps. The best tip though is to get into a mall with some other crafters. I started out in a mall with a top weaponsmith, in a prime locatiomand some days I was making over 100k in sales. That was with lag which made our vendors practically unusable for almost 6 hours a day!
