Tailor Archive

I am on my way to mastering BE (currently 3/2/4/3) and i was told by a guildie who was doing a Holo tailor grind that the lower level BE tissues aren't working. Is this true, or was it the case and now has been fixed?

I have a guildmate grinding BE currently and he gives me his tissues to work with and I am able to use all of them including the constrictor cloth.

lol, well that's what you get for getting tailoring info from a holo tailor. completely wrong, complete BS. Please tell him to leave tailoring to real tailors.

I agree, all i know is that i gave him some tissues to try out and he said that he couldnt get them to work, and that he read on the boards (not sure which ones) that the lower level BE tissues wouldn't work on clothes. Thanks for the info, this gives me a bit of a reprieve from doing the last 240k of crafting that i need for MBE>

There's a great BE faq in the sticky part of the forum that explains how tissues work. First of all, he has to be at least a Novice Tailor to make Synthetic cloth so that he can put in bio-sensors or myoflex. All other tisues go into Reinforced fiber panels, not fiberplast panels. I am guess that he tried to use the tissues in the wrong cloth and just assumed that they didn't work.

Geez, tell your BE friend he is missing the boat. Crafting those low level tissues into synth cloth and RFP cloth is the best way for HIM to get BE xp. It pretty much doubled the amount he got per item. I was paid 60k rebel faction points to sit and help grind someone's BioEngineer class so he could master a holo profession. Heck, that was a sweet deal. So I spent a good day doing that. We were in a house with a backpack betweenus. He would put the tissues in the pack every few minutes, and I would grab them out and craft the cloth away. I still have TONS of +5 bleed resist cloth that I consider throwaways - you may see them on the Gorath Bazaar every now and then when I clean house.

All tissues work. I was a Master BE/Master Tailor for awhile (and will likely go back) and had great luck in using everything I made. I still get tons of the little bonus clothes to boost up those Striped Slacks
