Thread: What do you pay for crates of BE tissues?
25 +15 Injury/Wound treatment
25 +15 Mask Scent/Camo
25 +16 Bleed
25 +15 Intim/Warcry
25 +4 Melee/+16 Stun Defense
25 +30 Entertainer Healing (not sure exactly what the individual stats on this are)
Thanks,
So, would these be fair prices that you all would be willing to pay?
25 +15 Injury/Wound treatment 70K
25 +15 Mask Scent/Camo 75K
25 +16 Bleed 60K
25 +15 Intim/Warcry 70K
25 +4 Melee/+16 Stun Defense 50K
I don't want to overcharge, but I don't want to make it less than what it's worth either.
Thanks for your input!
My BE friend sells his crates for 50k to other tailors. I have a different arrangement with him, however. I charge 1k per point plus the original cost of the clothing. So a +16 mask/camo in a 2k bandolier would be 18k. I then pay him half of that once the item sells, so he would make 9k on that particular item and it only uses the one tissue. I'm hard pressed to keep it in stock and i run through about three crates a day over all the skill mods.
I know that 50k for a crate if obviously more cost effective for me, but he does just as much work as i do, and deserves to reap just as much reward from it. Since i use so much of the stuff, paying him half of it is more than fair in my opinion given his need for a team of hunters to get the massive levels of resources he needs.
My basic pricing policy for the clothes themselves is to charge (price of "base item") + (5000 * number of "top range" tissues used.)
A cash profit of 2000 (adjusted for the time, cost and hassle of dealing with the stuff) per tissue works out OK for me.
So maybe 70K-75K per crate across the board would be good? Or a nice 72K to even things out? That way I can quote one price for all of the most popular tissues?
25 +15 Injury/Wound treatment 72K
25 +15 Mask Scent/Camo 72K
25 +16 Bleed 72K
25 +15 Intim/Warcry 72K
25 +4 Melee/+16 Stun Defense 72K
Thanks for your help!
I have been buying all my tissues for about 50k a crate, higher for +14 medical ones.
CH tissues go for about 200k each...totally overpriced IMO and I hear they don't work like they should.
Even if they're working 100% as advertised, it might be hard to *see* the difference.
So a +14 Mask Scent / Camouflage would cost 2800cr per tissues.
No wonder my stuff sells well even in the boondocks. I'm grumbling slightly because of my two master BE suppliers, the one that's nearer to me just upped her prices - up from her previous 100 per point (to the higher skill, if applicable) per tissue, to 110 per point (for friends; on her vendor they're 140 per point). So to pick any of your hypothetical +15 examples, a crate of 25 would be 25 x 15 x 110 = 41,250 per crate.
I know a master BE on Corellia who sells for a flat 100 per point except for enhanced myoflex. But Corellia's two planets over from me.
(By the way, a bonus of +13 is more normal for the tissues I buy, up to at most +15. One of the reasons why I get good prices is that for most purposes, I think anything over +13 per tissue is excessive, since two +13 tissues/items is enough to cap any one skill bonus. An extra +2 to +3 per tissue isn't anywhere near worth the difference in price between ordinary average-grade organics and super-rare top-quality organics. To get those extra 2 points, you have to triple the cost of the materials. Both of my standard suppliers agree with me on this, but for a different reason. They say that even with the premium prices that +16 or +17 tissues get, no amount of money isworth the time it takes them to find that quantity of rare top-quality resources.)
When I build them into clothes, I'mnow charginga flat-rate 200 per point plus the regular price of the clothes, it's easier for me to figure that way. If I run out, which occasionally happens, too bad.
As I found out when I started a character on another server, these are Kettemoor prices. On other servers, multiply those numbers by five. (Which, as far as I'm concerned, is ridiculous to the point of being morally offensive.)
(And while I'm in parentheses, what the heck am I doing posting to a pricing thread? I hate pricing threads.)
