I'd much rather grind cloaks as the casual wear tier is so much more fun to make. Also these ribbed shirts are taking forever...they reallly are the best way huh?

Thanks for your time (novice Tailor Boomin' Granny- Naritus)

The disadvantage to cloaks is that they require hides, which aren't as readily available as the non-orgainc resources required by the other popular grinding items. If you have a huge supply of hides then that wouldn't be as much of a barrier.

OTOH, Cloaks have a big advantage if you're a "real" tailor, because they give good XP *and* can be sold for good money! Don't just grind and dump them for 200 credits or something and undercut other tailors, but Cloaks at a fair price (my price for them has always been 2500) should sell pretty briskly. Certainly more saleable than Cartridge Belts or Ribbed Shirts, that's for sure.

Actually, this was one reason I *didn't* grind cloaks. I just couldn't bear to use practice mode on one of my best sellers (and I too charged 2.5k)

I charge 3k for cloaks on Radiant, and they sell off the bazaars within a day or two. So I made lots of them whenever I had the hide and traveled around putting them on bazaars all around the galaxy when I was trying to xp up to Master.

I always tell people to grind cloaks. Fiber and hide...very quick to grind. I did use about 50k of hides when I did it.

No they don't require any particular hide.

3k seems to be average price on my server.

Well you can harvest the resources for the other stuff easily, hides are a pain though.

I just put the word out among the guildmates. Alot of them grinding pistol, etc, and medics can't use the crappy hides. I leveled all the way to master on making cloaks And yes, they sell well too!

I ground cloaks all the way, 'cause no one told me about the belts (or i wasn't paying attention or something /shrug)

It did get me into a good PA cause i needed the hides, so i'm glad. I sell mine for 800, mainly because i can do them in a factory and just carry around a crate of them and pop them on the bazaar. However, i have noticed my prices are way low, but my customer base is still small, even tho i have been a master for several months now. I don't really mind, i can actually try other stuff with my character without being inundated with more than 3-5 people an hour sending me tells. I think it's because i don't advertise my shop at the starports, and i don't keep my stock levels above 300 items per store. If i stocked everything, i would soon be more popular, but have much less time to play.

I did the formal line first, but just because i wanted patterened slip dresses soooo much. if i remember right, the day i got them, i made one for every dancer at the cantina. Hmmm, maybe i should go do that again, but for the ones not afk. I think i can afford it.
