Thread: clothing idea..well mostly..

I was thinking about Tailors being able to make camouflouge clothing,


when worn, it will temporarily take the player off the radar for 40 seconds, and phase back into radar for like 10 seconds, then back to being off the radar for 40 seconds again...


that was how i began with...


but i thought, what if Bio engineers can create a type oftissue that can be attached to a clothing, and it'll give the effect to the clothing... phase the player off the radar for 40 sec,, and phase back in for 40 sec....etc.. and perhaps the clothing becomes rendered useless or duration of ''out of radar and visual invisibility''lowered when the condition of the clothing gets less then 200...or maybe the clothingwill only Last for 2 hours like a buff, but then you can justattacha new tissue to it from a stack of camoflouging tissuesthat you buy from an engineer. Perhaps it can just be 1 piece of clothing that'll hide you, since it is bio engineered clothing, like a head piece...or a cloak... also maybe with experimentation of the tissue... it could effect the duration of the ''out of radar and visual invisibility'' .... and even the 'refresh' of it...perhaps like 20 seconds of invisibility and 1min 30 sec of refresh... but the better experimentation, the refresh could be lowered, and/or the duration of the invisibility be increased.



this is like cloaking from your enemy, hiding from them , and ambushing them... i think it could bring up some interesting tactics to pvping, and i can see alot of players being pissed cause he/she was overt middle of no where, and all of a sudden a cloaked overt imp kicks your tail. now this doesn't conflict with mask 'scent' = deals only with animals...but mask scent doesn't deal with actual hiding...


i also thought maybe in order to Counter invisibled players,


Image Designers or bio engineer or doctor or combat medic..or all 3....could have temporary Eye enhancements, that'll last for 3 hours or so depending onexperimentationfor a player?. it could let them detect such invisible players. perhaps with varying effects, like, an Image designer eye enhancement gives you a 20% chance of detecting a hidden player...a bio engineer that can do like 25%....a doctor/combat medic ..could do it for 35% chance...for example....and perhaps let these enhancements stack up?...so if you get it from all 3...you get almost nearly 100% chance of detection?... and of course, Rangers could have innate abilities to detect hidden players, but then, maybe let them only 'sense' hidden players, but not really be able to Pin Point them or maybe a 50% chance of Pin Pointing a hidden player.


i wouldn't know how this would effect jedi/bh ... im guessing Bh can still track the jedi, but like, if the jedi was cloaked out of radar, ...he'd be safe unless the BH had the eye enhancement from an Image designer.. and after 40 seconds is over, the jedi is either in trouble...or lucky enough to get the cloak back up in another 40 seconds......and perhaps leta Jedi be able to sense the hidden players as well, like the rangers, and have a 70% chance of pin pointing.


also, could make it a rule that, once you attack, you of course, break your hiding, and you wont be able to recloak for another 40 seconds.


and i heard of those faction detectors, but they Only detect if your covert or overt right...honestly this detector doesn't make sense to me for some reason... i think its cause its like coming up to a neutral player in a cantina, and asking them if they are covert or overt..or if they are rebel or imp...how is a piece of machinery be able to analyze this , heh.. this is a game of course i know though...and of course, maybe have machines that can detect cloaked players as well, like droids and such, that perhaps can have a 50% chance of detecting a hidden player...


and maybe with this, could also introduce new mysterious creatures that can hide from view and player radars...off radars...and such. and this could give creature handlers new kind of pets..like..pets that can stay hidden, and when that enemy or playerenemy approaches, he'll get a big surprise when a 30 feet monster appears out of no where unless the player enemy has detection abilities..like the eye enhancements and such.


i also thought, if it was a cloak, it could give a neat transluscent effect..or something, and when it activates..it starts to disguise you...



but to sum it up...i was thinking that maybe if players have some way to hide from detection like off of other player's radar screens, and coupled with visual invisibility as well of course, it could create some interesting tactics in pvp?..i dont know...


anyway, i was bored....and this is probably something very very hard to implement or way too much work for its worth....feel free to build on this... and/orwhat do you call it...constructive critism? no flaming pls?

and sorry if this was like thought up before, i'm too lazy to read through the possible hundreds of threads


edit: and like maybe phase in and out while movement, but perma hidden when standing in one place...and they should hide rifleman when they take cover from radar also..and such..

While i like the idea of going off radar i think that all the rangers would be extremely angry lol.


They already have camo and it only works with non player baddies. So if an ID/BE is able to make a player invisible to baddies as well as players it would make the rangers camo pretty much worthless.
