I just scored the Weaponsmithing Toolkit schematic, a 3 use item. I just read the following:
---------------
"Making a factory schematic
Yes, you can make a factory schematic and only use one "use" on your looted schematic (this is getting confusing), and run as many of the item through the factory as your heart desires. The tricky part, however, is that the pieces must all be identical in order to make the items in the factory - including the looted components. You'll be lucky to find ten identical looted components. But if you do... feel free to make a factory run to save the "uses" on your limited-use schematic."
-------------------
Can anyone confirm that this works?
Since this particular schematic doesn't require anything more unique than a few matching components, it seems a no-brainer to make a factory schematic and crank out a run of them.
(Anyone on Kettemoor have a couple matching crates of Heavy Duty Claps and Cargo Pockets they're willing to part with, I can make the required crates of weapon repair tools
)

Yeah it works but you will not find crates of heavy duty clasps they are a looted item. MostI have looted in one set was 11 off a NS. Like its says you will be lucky to find ten identical looted componets.

Ah... didn't know the Heavy Duty Clasp was a looted item. Assumed it was something you tailors could whip up at will. Thank you for saving me one wasted use of the schematic just to find that out!
Will have to start shopping for those I guess.
