Thread: Oh, the madness of it all!

I expected an increase, but I never expected this...

Happily going about my tailoring and armorsmithing business, on my way to the Coronet bazaar, I thought I would stop by the local cantina to heal some of the mind wounds I had recieved over time. I walked into the cantina, and my jaw hit the floor.

EVERY SINGLE DANCER AND MUSICIAN WAS WEARING A VERY REVEALING SKIRT!!!

I screamed (Nice new animation), and ran out of the cantina. My eyes had almost spontaneously exploded from the sight, and I decided to cruise by the starport, in an effort to get to my home base on Talus to make some armor layers. No sooner had I arrived at the starport entrance when I saw this.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON AT THE STARPORT ENTRANCE WAS WEARING A BLACK CLOAK, HOOD UP!!!

I performed another scream emote, hopped on my swoop, and headed for my shop where I promptly locked the door, and ran into my sales room, gasping for air. I decided to put some extra clothing I had for sale on my vendor, to calm me down. Upon opening up the vendor display, I glanced at the appearing list, and /scream'ed again!

I WAS SELLING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF VERY REVEALING SKIRTS, AND BLACK CLOAKS, HOOD UP!!!

What is this monster I have helped create?!? Have I gone insane?!? I'm almost afraid of death by eye explosion the next time I log in to Star Wars Galaxies! Is there no end to this madness?!?

I urge you fellow tailors, strike out against the sudden outcry of the popular fad! Craft modest skirts, and simple shirts only to revolt against this terrible monster, that I admit, I have helped to create!

Do this, before it is TOO LATE!!!

Note: This is a "funny" thread. Please do not start crafting modest skirts and simples shirts only. I will admit though, this very reveal skirt and black hooded cloak craze is getting out of control. They are about the only things I see now.

*Puts on his Extremely Revealing Skirt and black hood-up robe*

Ahhh...this is nice.....

*a sudden gust of wind comes as the cantina door wooshes open & a thought dawns*

Hmm, the hood blew off. I guess I'll just have to stick with just the ERS. /sigh

Heheh while you try to get the image of me in an ERSout of your head, I just want to say I'm sure the hood-up/ESR style will burn out quickly once everyone takes a look around and realizes it's not a unique style. Until then, all the tailors should be able to make a killing off of sales from them.

Me, I'll be sticking to my usual of switching between pantaloons mood and HAWTpants mood.

Yeah I'm switching around with the new items, winged hawtpants and quilted pants mostly, just to show people that there are other new items with the patch. People have been asking for all these items for so long, but I don't know if they can think past the cloak and the skirt for now.

The skirt and cloak will die down. For now, enjoy the money! I made a separate vendor for the new clothing, and have sold a lot of the other pieces. I think most people didn't know what to look for. They know about the cloak and the skirt, but didn't know about the rest.

I've been meaning to set up a display piece with a white revealing bikini, a white extremely revealing skirt, and a white cloak, hood up. Although I suppose wearing that outfit might be more conducive to generating sales... Hmm.

Maybe they'll lay off the fleshwrap a bit. Anything to limit the use of that god awful thing at this point is an improvement in my book.

As for the hooded cloak, I'd only wear one if I was having a bad hair day. Which I never do. But all those people at the starport must have horrible hair to hide it that way.

My combat character has two ERS, one in pink and one in white.. I keep them for when I am wandering around hoping to show it off to generate sales for my favorite tailor.. but generally I have all white camo pants on (with scouting bonuses). I also have 3 sets of hood up/hood down cloaks.. but not a single one of them is black.. I have a white pair, a pink pair and a dark green pair. The white is the one I wear most.. and usually hood down..

I agree that the black hood up is overdone.. and there are a lot of people in the ERS... but quite a few are not..

In fact, my entertainer character doesn't own a single ERS or hooded cloak....I am taking her tailor so I will prolly have a large selection of clothing for her.

But.. I am sooooo confused... one character is a TK/Ranger and the other is a musician/artisan... switching from one to the other causes great confusion since one CAN wear hawtpants and the other cant even say the name...

There is a segment of TOWICNRTNOBBWAR (That Organization Which I can Never Remember The Name Of But Begins With An "R") that has realized the power of HAWTpants. Rangers no longer must live under the tyranny of TOWICNRTNOBBWAR! Unite under the HAWTPANTS!!!

The ranger in me will never wear that garment..

I know exactly how you feel... One of mine is a Swordsman/Ranger(former Master Tailor) who can not bring himself to wear them, but will defend them to the death they look good on some people It's no secret that he's afraid he'll like them.

The other is a Master Tailor who to this day has never had a request for the Hawtness... the whole craze is in fact lost on him somehow. See, he does not get away from his compound on Dantooine often enough.
