I've been a master tailor for a pretty long time now but I've never owned one of the tailor crafting aprons. I was just recently given one and was curious how it actually helps me at master? I haven't noticed anything different when crafting. Was hoping someone in here could help me out some!

I don'tbelieve they do anything at all. Others like architect aprons give you bonus to your experimentation but Tailors don't need to experiment so it doesn't do anything.

They help with experimentation on the wookiee pillows, but you need at least +10 to get an extra point. The apron just gives you +5. It also has a bonus to tailor assembly which seems to increase the chance of getting 4 sockets, but you really need other assembly clothing to make a real difference. I have a tailor apron as part of my tailor crafting outfit.

I wear my apron as a 'better safe than sorry' type thing. It's too hard to test the difference between on/off but there really is no reason not to (unless your current outfit is pretty good

The assembly bonus should help prevent critical failures when assembling as well as help get more sockets. It's not going to be very visible for a Master, though.
I don't use mine because I'm too lazy to run home to get it. I do most of my crafting at our PA Hall, which is closer to my storage house and factories by about 10 building squares.

You really need more than the +5 from the apron to see the difference. I can see a differnce with my +21 assembly outfit, but I still do not consistantly get 4 sockets and my average number of sockets doesn't change much. I just seem to have more of a chance of getting 4 than without it.
