I've been doing combat since I started, and I am bored of it. I want to do a crafting profession and was thinking about Tailor. I only play on weekends or school vacations, so I thought an easier one (you don't need to worry about the quality of materials in Tailor) would be better for me. I guess what I'm asking is can I make decent money and have fun crafting special items as a weekend Tailor? I saw some people here posting that there is undercutting and they don't have much of a business. I was thinking of going Master Tailor/Master Architect/Master Artisan/Merchant 4004. Anyone think that is good?

There is definitely a business in the tailor profession. It was a very social profession to me. People usually come back to you too, and it is of course, very nice to get returning customers
. Like every tailor, I've seen a lot of undercutting prices and such, but I don't see it happening so much where it'll screw up my business. Most of the vendors I see with undercutting prices don't have "pretty" clothes there anyway.
Tailor would do a good crafting profession because it is not as time-consuming as the other crafting professions (the lack of needing to care about the resource stats). Income-wise... tailor is not as lucrative a crafting profession as the other professions. There is still growth, but a slower growth than the others (like WS and AS). My bank account usually grows by the million monthly, and that is enough for me
As of your template... you will be a complete crafter (and with no combat skills). Hide is a needed resource for a tailor. If you don't harvest your own hide, I guess you could always become business partners with a scout / hide-provider. I can't go FULL crafter... because I find combat too fun, lol, but different people have different preferences.
I hope you enjoy tailor!
